I like to think I am a smart guy. But, I made all the mistakes a guy could make in my rebound marriage. Which ended painfully, expensively and damaging to other family relationships. Heed your friends advice, sometimes you are just too close to the situation. At least push the wedding out into the future so there is a cooling off period where you can see more clearly.
