Best time for me on ECB was between 1995 and 2005, it was all cute local girls just trying to make extra money, drug addicts were rare. In fact, around 2000 or so, word got around in the local HS (Hoover High) that good money could be made, so there were lots of HS girls would walk after school. It was standard practice that you had to card all these girls to ensure they were 18.

San Diego became uptight around 2005 or so. By 2010 the ECB scene was done. Part of the reason was gentrification along the main spot west of the 805.

I look at the card, he was a sergeant with the vice division. I said "vice? You guys doing a drug sting or something?" (I knew what they were doing) He goes, "no, prostitution" He then explained that they have fun not shaving for a couple weeks, crumple up old clothes, then told me the two vehicles they were driving were impound cars. They started laughing about it, saying these girls are so stupid, there is this rumor we only do stings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we drive rental cars. We get them every time.
