What design are you talking about?
Gas prices didn't jump almost $2 a gallon overnight the increase was by design starting with day one canceling of the keystone Pipeline. Canceling of oil and gas drilling leases. Along with regulatory changes that made it not profitable to drill or increase refinery capacity. The only thing that bumbling fool could do now would be to remove the federal gas tax which would only give a 18 c drop. We went from energy independent to energy dependent in 16 months.
This is what listening to right-wang radio will do for your brain. Of course, most of the listeners aren't that bright anyway and always looking for a single democrat to blame for everything.
In four years drumpf couldn't get the KS pipeline built and if not cancelled, would be a whopping 8% complete today. Guess that would lower gas prices back to pre-pandemic levels right? Or I suppose we can forget about the fact that gas production and prices plummeted during COVID because no one was driving, and subsequently we are suffering from the same logistics problems that are driving inflation everywhere.
I'm not saying Biden hasn't made poor choices or done a good job of managing and articulating what's going on, but to simply say this was some sort of "plan" or "design" is simple minded and frankly, fucking stupid.
But hearing and repeating that sort of dumb shit is just a day ending in the letter 'Y' for the rightards.
