Well, I'm sitting here this fine Thanksgiving, reflecting on my travels this year and enjoying being back in Cincinnati. I have been enjoying the monger lifestyle for a couple years now and really have seen a change the last six months. The dollar is stronger than ever, as the prices are dropping for providers nationwide, but Cinci has sooo much talent, compared to the majority of cites nationwide, that I am amazed at the selection and value for our buck. Even the higher priced Providers, are feeling the pressure from competition. I must confess, since entering this arena, yes I'm an old fart, that my game has gotten so good, while enjoying all of the beautiful providers that Cincinnati has to offer, that I now find myself dating multiple young ladies, nationwide, without much or minimal effort. No web sites, random encounters with young ladies, coworkers, that normally turn their noses up? No Sugar Daddy deals, just right place right time? Provider induced Confidence? The shear pleasure of twenty year old ladies, now available for free? The selection of new talent here has me drooling, even more than the turkey cooking downstairs and I now feel guilty, not spending my hard earned money on these new, fine ladies. I have developed a criteria, if you will. That if I do have an encounter, I figure what the cost per excursion, food, drink, etc and if I want to invest a dollar amount, for a conquest or wait till I get back to Cincinnati. I monitor this site from the UK each day and manage to partake in our hobby in Orlando for a few weeks each year. Although I have had the warnings, no problem with FBI threats or the like. A close friend of mine had a UK threat equivalent to yours when visiting 'similar' sites to USASG in the UK resulting in the 'blue screen of death'. So we googled the threat on my laptop and found a free procedure which sorted it out. I use, and installed on his laptop, 'Malwarebytes' which I downloaded for free from a proxy site. Since then he's had no problems of this nature.

Personally I have used Security Essentials from Microsoft for years (free from Microsoft) and make sure it's definitions are up to date. And then augment scanning with Malwarebytes. I'm on the site several times a day and have been throughout these events and nothing has ever penetrated my defenses. (except this one chicas finger, but that's another story) In a perfect world we would never have any of these things happen but there are a lot of fucking douchebags out there. We do the best we can and work pretty hard to give you guys the best forum possible but if Anonymous took down Visa we are occasionally going to have problems. Along time ago Jax made a really fucking smart decision, he kept the site anonymous all you need is a bullshit gmail account to register. We don't ask for, nor want, your personal data. The worst that will ever happen to you here is having to restore from a backup. (If you're not doing back ups get your ass to Wally World and buy an external and start doing that today!)

Based on my own travels and observations, and comments heard on the Cincinnati boards of late, it sure seems like this area has a great pool of provider talent. The rates tend to be lower around here than in many other places. Also based on long experience, it seems like LEO is especially active in this area.

This would lead to the conclusion that the enforcement activity is a complete waste of time and pretty much pointless. But does anyone have any theories about why that is?

I mean, we've all got our likes and dislikes and favorite segments, be it SWs, semi-pro UTR providers, chatlines, BP, higher-end providers, those who require references, those who don't. But all areas seem to be thriving. Even for all the grousing for how hard the SW trade is, most of the time I'm cruising through a hotspot (I don't partake, but do window shop occasionally), I can find some providers and occasionally get "the look" from obvious providers even on the outskirts of these zones at times.

I guess it's like one of those Facebook graphics.- the war on drugs brought more drugs; the war on poverty brought more poverty; the war on terrorism brought more terror; and the war on prostitution brought more providers.

I wanted to put it out there because I am slightly confused on what most would consider an ebony provider. When I think of ebony I think of an african american girl. I think of curves but not fat, exotic, brown skinned beauty. I thought that's what made us ebony girls ebony. When I got into this business, there were no, are no, ebony providers in the tristate. Then I started looking a little deeper into what folks were saying and when I did I learned that the ebony definition I was going off of evidently is not ebony. When your as light as some of the non ebony providers and you say your french, or carribean, etc. Does that qualify as ebony? If it does then what do I classify myself as? Black? I feel if you don't have an african american mother and and african american father, you are not ebony. Or is it still a stigma that any percentage of black in your dna makes you black? I'm just saying when I see a provider that's light skinned, and 110 lbs and says she is mixed with everything under the Sun. But african american, I do not at all consider that an ebony provider. Obviously, if our safety is seriously at risk, we have a right to self defense, but saying, in essence, "any pimp messes with me is going to get shot," is either bravado or short-sighted.

Having said that, I wouldn't go into some of the questionable areas or situations mongers face without being armed.

(As a side note, I sure wouldn't go carrying a big clunky "judge.

So, I'm curious about your thoughts on the matter; do you carry while mongering, would you use your firearm only for safe retreat, except as a last resort, where do you keep it (I myself never fully undress the first time), what are the implications of having a gun on you in the commission of a crime, etc.

This seems like a topic where we might learn from one another. I'm not interested in chest-thumping, but rather in rational opinions about the pros and cons of mongering armed.

Most are drug addicts and they could give two shots about you or me buddy. The skills that they display in customer service and sales (which they are essentially doing for a living) is laughable. I carry all the time, mongering our not. For me, it's always last resort or if a real threat presents itself quickly then it would be immediate. One young provider freaked that I carried but was cool with it when I told her I had a CCW license. Not sure why that made a difference but it did.
