Have gone through the new crossing from San Ysidro to Tijuana several times now. The four booths for getting the 7 day permisos have always been open in the afternoons with no waiting. The workers seem to be college age with fair English skills. A few of the females have been quite attractive and everyone has been friendly. Glad they aren't the middle aged male assholes they normally have in these positions. Three minutes and you're through. Maybe some of the Americans without passports are now reluctant to cross. There are definitely fewer Chinese tour groups of twenty wandering around Tijuana. Guess they don't want to hassle with the permisos. The old cheap place that advertised as Taco Bell and had the $1 Coronas and Victorias has been closed the past two weeks. Guess there aren't enough people taking the walking path downtown anymore. Don't know where the old white Americans pensioners that live in Tijuana went. They lived for those $1 beers daily. LOL. Same amount of streetgirls even with the hot humid weather but fewer guys walking the streets so the girls are a bit more aggressive in their spiel.

Everything George said is about what I saw. No line in the new facility, cute chica working in the chair, wrote me up a pass, little bit farther of a walk but nothing outrageous. Lots of closed businesses. Not sure if this was because it was a sun night at 5:30-6 p or if it has to do with the new flow of pedestrian traffic. Down to the zona where police presence these days is to the point I don't want to walk around after dark. Stayed at hotel above bar tropical. Checked out at 11 and drank in the zona till about 4:30 p. No line for ready lane card holders when I got to the border. It was very hot on Labor Day in the zona. I'm starting to enjoy Tijuana much more during the day then at night these days. I feel more comfortable walking around in daytime.

Seems like there are a couple of cops every half block. Not hassling people but letting it be known they are there everywhere. I prefer mongering daytime now because less hassle and less crowded. Plus more crazies out at night though there are fewer hot looking girls.
Just curious if anyone interested in a buddy system. If you're from San Diego and would like to travel together (safety in numbers I guess), give me a Pm.
A little about myself, 27 Asian. If you're into football, we can talk fantasy.

Is a passport really necessary when crossing into la Zona and getting back? I would be walking in and out.
Is a passport really necessary when crossing into la Zona and getting back? I would be walking in and out.
Not sure about this but am curious. You could try it. Due to the new facility crossing into Mexico, they'll let you know if you do not have proper ppwk. I know crossing back into the USA It's not an issue. Moe.
Crossed over for the fourth time since the new building opened. At 1 PM it wasn't busy. Lady at the door sent me to station 6. Mostly young eager new people manning the booths. Fucking bad luck booth 6 has a typical middle aged asshole Mexican male agent. The three previous times the person at the booth filled out the form getting the info from my passport card. But the mother fucker asshole was bullshitting with the security guard and couldn't be bothered. Had to ask for a pen and when I was finished he had to finish his bullshitting with the guard before he would stamp my form. Fuck him and his fucking mother who treated him like a little king growing up. Otherwise everyone else has been super pleasant in the new building.
Have not been able to contact my ATF SG for several weeks. Crossed over and walked through the zona to the hotel my ATF had been staying at. Asked at the desk and the guy went and got my girl. Turns out she had to put her smartphone in pawn to buy tickets for her mother for an emergency trip. When she had the money to pay her chit she got stopped by cops half a block from the pawn shop. They demanded her Credencial Electoral. Went through her pocketbook and took all her money. These fucking cops are such lowlifes. She hadn't made the money back to get her phone out of hock and of course didn't have phone numbers anywhere except her phone so she couldn't contact me. Got a room at her hotel for 100 pesos. Two hours time with flat screen showing porn, overhead fan, and shower with hot water. Used all two hours making up for lost time. Showered together with BBBJ in the shower. Switched up between cg and mish several times. A great daty session with fia simultaneously. She was trembling from the stimulation. Took a couple of breaks to shower off the sweat. The final time she squeezed her vag muscles and I had a super ending. Walked her to the pawn shop and paid the chit. Gave her another 1000 pesos and she was estatic at her good fortune. I think I would make this woman my one and only if she didn't have a four year old brat from hell. She is up for anything I want, even a threesome and has the large cee small dee tits that are the perfect mixture of heft and softness I love. There was a porn movie on with an actress with almost identical tits and I pointed that out to her. When I walk with her every man and woman looks at her rack as we pass.
I went to get my passport card replaced at the county administration building. I asked if they will let you cross into Mexico with proof of passport application. She told me that they have heard they will let you pass with the application receipt, DL and copy of birth certificate. I will call the Mexican consulate when I have time.

I still walk to downtown in the afternoon even though the new building's exit leads you away from the direct route. If you also want to walk take the exit ramp from the new building and duck through the yellow tape at the end of the first ramp. Walk about fifty yards to the first parking lot and walk through it and exit to the walkway. You end up fifty yards from the stairs of the pedestrian bridge that goes over the right side lanes going into the USA This cuts about two blocks off the walk.
Was eating at a bar and grill today. Ate their special of the day. Three fish tacos with rice and beans and agua fresca. $5. Asked how much were their beers $2. 75. Delicious tacos and ice cold Tecate. The bill would have have $7. 75 if I paid in dollars. The total in pesos was 90 pesos. At the 16.27 pesos per dollar I received changing dollars for pesos just before the border that comes out to $5. 50. That's a difference of only $2. 25 but that's also a savings of 29%! Don't be lazy. Change your dollars and pay for everything in pesos.
Crossed into mexico for the first time since the new facility opened. It was pretty late 2-3 am (long night of partying). Anyways, there were 2 guards working and they barely gave me and my friend a second look. Granted we were the only two crossing at the time but they didn't ask for any form of I'd or any other questions for that matter.
Just as easy its always been.
When I walk to Tijuana I always notice the Train track. Is there a Hotel that is near the Train? I am thinking of renting a room, taking the train and walking to Tijuana.
