Both Amber Spa and Sky Spa on Capitol Ave are closed (Rubmaps shows recent reviews for both, but I've been to each, and they're both gone).

#1 Day Spa is gone as well (a few months back).

One of the providers who'd worked there told me that Ivy Spa is closed as well, but I haven't personally confirmed that.

Looks like a couple of places toward Cupertino are gone as well; I'll report here if / when I'm able to confirm.

With My Redbook and Backpage now both gone, and major restrictions on Craigslist, it's getting tough to find info on new places.

If anyone knows where Sky or Jax from Sky Spa (now closed) have landed, please PM me with their new location.

Been a while so don't remember damage, but the talent was relatively young and nice. Chatted up the masseuse and apparently they rotate out every month or so, so YMMV on what you get when you visit. Very strong perfume smell at the place that will stick with you for days though.

I saw one advertised on Quimby and decided to check it out. I ended up at a different one in the same shopping center by mistake. It was 45 for an hour. The girl wasn't the greatest but there was another one there that I would definitely request if I went back.

Sunny Day Spa on Lincoln Ave looked to be closed permanently, no sign, parking lot empty. Last review was 2 months ago.

Elite Day Massage And Spa on Alvin Ave seemed to be closed, door locked, no answer at the doorbell. Signs and everything were up. Last review was 2 days ago.

Zen Health Center on Union, was closed, all the signs and whatnot were still up. Last review was 2 weeks ago.

Now perhaps the last two were just closed for Memorial Day, but damn.

When I lived here back in the mid-90's Massage Parlors were everywhere!! This is a sad state of affairs gentlemen. When a guy can't get a decent massage with a little "happy ending" in the San Jose area, things are indeed bad.

Took some time tonight to see how bad things were.

First stop, pull into parking lot of Harmony Wellness on Bascom. Older attractive lady, pants, smoking (or just hanging out) out back, starts to get up when she sees my car, smiles. But I wave, start backing out to leave. Another older lady, less attractive, opens front door. Dang, hungry! Finally, another older Asian woman in SUV whose car was idling in handicapped stall eyes me. Man, I think the Backpage / Craigslist shutdown is really hurting them.

Next, Evon's Aromatherapy on Meridian, formerly Royal Aroma Therapy, formely Zen, formerly Blossom Spa, formerly Heaven Day Spa. It's listed on RM with recent reviews. 30 ish Latina MMS said they just did Aroma $40/ half hour, not massage. Sure.

Actually noticed new "Acupuncture" place downstairs from there (same building) first. 30-40 ish tallish ok bod Asian in babydoll answered and gave me usual pricing. Yes, they have a shower. PPS (Ethiopian dude?) was hanging around. Interesting.

Parked *behind* Yenny, hoping to take a look, but ugh, they lock those doors now. Forget that. Signs from front made it look like they were open though. Heard Amy is long gone though, so is there still a point, haha?

Finally, H2 O Day Spa on Hester had it's door wide open. Too open. Man, never been able to bring myself to visit because it is so exposed, with the laundromat right next door. But hey, if you've got no shame, looks like they're still in business.

So def Bascom / San Carlos area still looks open for business. Cruised past and saw the signage for Valley Spa was still up and lit, didn't see the telltale "Open" "Massage" blinky light things, so not sure they're still there.

OH, and saw lights and doors open for Sakura and Pink Pearl (HA) on Stevens Creek.
