First of all, I hope you're not suggesting that unlike with escorts you don't have to wear a condom with street walkers. For those mongers, paying outright for sex is about a) getting quality or age level that they probably wouldn't be able to attract otherwise b) paying a premium so the women simply comes to their door and they don't have to spend hours trolling the streets (often coming up emptyhanded) and risking attracting the attention of law enforcement, possible arrest and in some localities confiscation of their vehicle or c) paying them to leave. In the case of some SW's, I'd actually pay them not to have sex at all and to just get the fuck away from me. A women can certainly be skanky enough looking (not to mention foul enough smelling) that at some point you're much better off just using your hand. Besides, if you're going to just use cost and condom use as your guide, your hand is completely free and doesn't even require you use a condom at all.

So a REASONABLE premium for escorts is agreeable if they have REALLY good looks and it is without condom. Since without condoms is out of question, I think escorts are a waste of money.

I never said "because somebody is charging more or looks nice doesn't mean she doesn't have HIV". A good portion of the SW's you see on the street are crack ****** which greatly increases the likelihood that they may be infected with HIV, Hep C, or some other STD regardless of what condition their looks may have deteriorated to or how much they charge. They also generally operate on a higher volume, which means all other things being equal they have more oportunities to contract and spread diseases. And statistics bear this out. So the difference in degree of risk is much greater than you make it out.

Answer, NO, and where did anyone suggest otherwise? You're the only one talking about it being worth some sort of premium to have unprotected sex with an escort even under some special circumstances. What I said was that condom use was advisable for BOTH types of providers EVEN for an escort DESPITE her lower risk of carrying a disease AND SO the issue of having to wear a condom was really beside the point when comparing the merits of which type of provider to go for. Forget not wearing condom already, its just something you'd better get used to if you're going to play the game of P4P (at least for FS).

Thirdly, you're also wrong about why people don't want to have sex with SW's. HIV is ONE reason but it is just one of MANY. You even tried to address some of the others. YOU don't think most escorts are any better looking than the average SW, but I think there are many that would strongly disagree with you even among those who prefer to bargain shop among SW's. There is a reason people refer to the term "Streetwalker Scale" when rating SW looks and that is because the average for a streetwalker is even less than the average for the general population. I agree some escorts are really beautiful but certainly not all. Some are only average and a few are really skanky (like a typical SW). However, IMHO the SW's that would rate above a 5 on the regular scale are few and far between (and thus fairly hard to find) and the few escorts that would rate below a 5 are easily avoided.

Your analogy to buying things at a flea market, IMHO, is not an exact one. Sure if you're talking about buying dollar-type items, you're going to get a better deal at a place that carries lower overhead. But if you're spending money on a bigger ticket item or one where you really have to depend on its reliability than you're going to want to buy it at a place that you know will be there next week or one that comes with some sort of warranty. The warranty on escorts are not perfect either, but thats why you have to do your homework. If you select the right one you've chosen one that relies on her reputation and good reviews. I really don't think such concerns are particularly high with the average streetwalker. And in terms of overhead, what does an independent escort have? Maybe a little advertising and a cellphone and the gas to get whereever you want to meet her. Finally, your observations comparing legal risk between the two types of providers is plain wrong. The typical escort may LOOK at your driver's license to try and help determine if you are who you say you are and not some cop, but it would be highly unusual for any to keep that detailed records beyond the time of your meeting. What purpose would it serve except that of evidence if she were arrested? The most she is likely to have is your number in the call history of her phone or MAYBE transferred over to her blackbook if you become a regular customer.

If she is caught, unless you're caught with her, she's the one going to jail. They don't go after possible johns from the past based only on a written phone number as their evidence. And even any of that is not that likely to happen. They rarely bust escorts or conduct sting operations for guys that call them, compared to how often they do exactly that in the street market. Even when the SW and the John are on the up and up the risk of arrest is greater because the business is conducted out in the open on the street, where the COPS are writing down the numbers of the guys that cruise back and forth and arresting both parties when they see suspicious activities in a parked car. There is simply no possible way you could compare the relative risk of going with an escort to that of engaging in the street sex market.
