I know this might be a silly question, but I am still the novice. I was recently in a position to get a picture to go with a report, but I hit an obstacle; how do you ask permission to take the pic? What do you tell them the purpose of the pic is?
So many providers are savvy to the forum, do they like it as free advertising?
Any help appreciated!

I saw this story on the channel 61 news last night. Guards were banging the female inmates. No wonder they are arresting so many of "our" girls, they want them for fresh meat at Niantic. The guards are facing felony charges. Serves them right. Why can't they just pay (or pray) for it, like the rest of us.

Just tell her you want to take her picture. I've never been refused, in fact most of them enjoy it, and if you can print out some color photo's to give them next time they like that too.
Just another example of corruption in our states government. Those with the badges and guns are some of the most corrupt people in our society. Hypocrites.

In addition,the Ct. government is raping the citizens. Ct. must be in the top 5 of the crooked government states. Louisiana is either 1st or 2nd.

most of any (if there ever was one) surplus tax money, down the tubes. I also saw one of the
many added state police cruisers, too. (two officers, Ironic, as Hartford rarely puts more than [u][b]ONE[/b][/u]
in theirs. There goes some of our tax money, too.)

About a week ago the state and city decided to increase their patrols, not to catch street walkers or johns, but to cut down on the shootings (something like 14 people have been killed on the streets in the last two weeks or so)
That's probably why they're travelling with two in the car.
Dear Fellow Forum Members,
I am posting today to tell you about my experience getting busted for patronizing a prostitute in Hartford. It is a little embarrassing to admit that I got caught, but I was hoping the experience would help everyone. I am posting this message under a different username and ip address, but I have been a regular poster under another username. I am afraid of reprisal from law enforcement. This experience happened last year but I believe that procedures today are about the same. In light of the recent busts in Waterbury, I thought it was important that I tell my story.
The vice cops use a couple methods for arresting guys. One is decoy females. The other is to stake out an actual SW and wait until an actual customer picks her up.
I thought I was being careful to avoid LE, but obviously I was not. Remember, LE has training in being undercover and tricking you. We have none.
I was arrested, handcuffed, and interrogated at the scene. The vice cops were a$$h0les. They did not read me my miranda rights. They will not allow you to contact a lawyer or get a lawyer for you. They told me that my vehicle is being forfeited to the city. They told me that they are going to contact my boss, family, ect. Short of physical harm, they will treat you like you are a child molesting baby killer. The interrogation (which took place on public streets) was similar to something you see on an episode of Law & Order. The questioning continued even though I told them that I refuse to make a statement. In the big picture, it really did not matter what I said or did not say. If you stop and speak with a decoy or let a SW into your car (and LE is watching), you are getting arrested.
Myself and my vehicle were searched. Luckily there were no weapons or drugs. This probably would have just led to more charges.
Oh, in case I did not say it before. The vice cops are a$$h0les. They are either trying to do a “scared straight” game or they just get off trying to intimidate us. I believe the later.
I was transported to the Jennings Road station by a uniformed officer and never saw the vice cops again. Everything you have one your person goes with you. Everything in your vehicle goes with the towing company. The booking process is pretty straight forward and it is detailed on the HPD website:

The only thing that I would add to that web page is that I do not believe that they will not give you a “Written Promise To Appear”. When you are given a chance to make your call, telephone a local bail bondsman that takes credit cards. Make sure you have a credit card will a high limit. You will need it to pay for the bond and any deposit that the bondsman might want. Expect your bond to be in the thousands of dollars. That means if your bond is $10,000, the bail bondsman will charge you $1,000 to bail you out. That $1,000 is his fee, you do not get it back. Plus he may want additional money to hold as collateral. Plus the credit card company may charge you a transaction fee. If you do not have a high limit credit card, call a friend or relative that you trust 110% to arrange for bail through a local bail bondsman.
There is a person called a Bail Commissioner. He can reduce your bond amount or change it to a “Written Promise To Appear”. Unless you want to sit in jail until they can see you, get the ball rolling with a bail bondsman.
The cops will give you a court date and tell you which courthouse. If you are assigned “Community Court” at 80 Washington Street then you are in good shape. If you are assigned the regular court on Lafayette Street, get a lawyer. If you have additional charges or have a record you might also want to get a lawyer.
I do have to say that the uniformed officers of HPD treated me with respect and courtesy. I never felt unsafe in their custody, even when locked up in the same cell with other offenders. They never tried to intimidate or humiliate me. They even allowed an addition call to the bail bondsman. The detectives should take a lesson from them.
My truck was towed at the time of the arrest. I found out from the uniformed officers that cars are not forfeited to the city. I was able to get the vehicle back after a 48 hour prostitution hold. Towing and storage fee was just over $100 to the towing company. The undercover vice cops lied to me. Big surprise.
I kept a close eye on the newspaper, expecting to see my name in there. One small piece of luck, The Hartford Courant does not publish these names anymore.
When you go to court, you will first meet with the prosecutor. This will be your first chance to read the police report. The police report was 70% truth and 30% bullsh-t. Once again, I really don’t think it mattered what it said. Basically it is your word against a policer officers. Who do you think they will believe? The prosecutor will offer you a deal of 10 days community service, STD testing, and men’s health class. In exchange they charges will eventually be dropped and the incident wiped off your record completely. In a nutshell: take the deal. If you plead not guilty and lose, you face at least that anyway and miss the chance to keep your record clean. If you choose to go to the court on Lafayette Street and ask for accelerated rehabilitation, you could also end up doing community service anyway and up to two years probation. Take the deal.
The judge likes to think of himself as a hard ass and threatens to send you to jail for one year if you miss any community service or break any of the rules. He gives everyone the same speech. The guy before me in court got a ticket for drinking in public and got a similar threat (not one year, but 7 days?). I learned later that most offenders just got extra days if they broke a rule.
Ten days of community service sucked, but it was not that bad. You schedule the days ahead of time with the prosecutor. Bring your schedule with you when you go to court. You can do the ten days all at once or spread them out over then next couple months. The work supervisors were cool and treated everyone fair. The work is not that strenuous and is actually pleasant when the weather was nice. You use rakes to clean streets in Hartford, clean up at some horse farm, unload Food Share trucks, and other misc stuff that they come up with. They also have “light duty” work available. The light duty work is at Food Share sorting produce. That work is certainly not light duty, but has the advantage of being inside. [url]http://www.foodshare.org/main.cfm?page=16[/url]
The men’s health class is a joke. I think I knew more about STDs than the guy teaching the class. At least the city is doing something that is not meant as a punishment. We would have been done real quick, but one guy was Spanish speaking only and he had to do everything once in English and once in Spanish. The final note of the class was to please use condoms for all sexual activities. The other hobbyists at the class did not want to talk about their arrests so I cannot verify if their experiences were similar to mine.
The STD testing is at some clinic in the north end near the old Mount Sinia Hospital. No big deal. AIDS testing is optional. The staff there are professional. You pee in a cup, they poke & prod at your privates, and draw some blood. I tested negative so that was the last I heard from them.
The incident is well behind me now. I think it is just luck, but my significant other, my family, and my coworkers never found out. My cover story on the car was that is broke down and was at the shop for two days being fixed. The cover story at work at to why I suddenly needed two weeks vacation was a relative being sick and I needed to care for them. I still use providers and AMPs, but stay away from street action. Luckily I was not in Waterbury during those recent AMP busts.

My advice to everyone is:
Don’t use street girls. I am not preaching, I just feel the financial risks outweigh the higher cost of non-street girls.
If you do use street girls just understand what I went through and judge the risks for yourself.
Do not carry an illegal weapon or drugs.
Use condoms. If you want to go bare back, find yourself a steady f-ck buddy on match.com or *******.
Carry a credit card with ample credit.
Don’t keep anything valuable in your car and carry your cell phone, wallet, house keys on your person.

I've sworn off SWs myself because of the added risks, both with regard to being busted and STDs... I really don't need the hassle/problems of either of those in my life.
I'm very sorry that you had to go through all of that, but happy to read that you were able to keep your problems contained and save yourself from public and family humiliation.

I second, JMG...and thank you for sharing, brother. We all know the risks, street or no streets. As been mentioned before, its all about managing those risks.
I wish you didn't have to cover up even your online identity. Your crime was a misdemeanor, and victimless. Fortunately, Vice was not able to make a complete victim out of you by destroying your family and livelihood in the process. Someone up above is looking out for you.

If you don't mind answering questions, I have a few for you that I am sure you can mask well enough with anonymity.
1. Was your girl a decoy or the real deal.
2. If a decoy...Can you describe the decoy or did you notice anything in retrospect that would be a flag for a decoy?
3. How quick was the response time?
4. Was the bust "unfair", meaning, did you verbally slip somewhere, or did she just get in the car and that was it?
5. What can you tell us about Vice itself. What type of people, their dress, anything you can share?
I have more, but this will suffice for now if you are open.

That's good information. Thanks for sharing it with others who may need it one day. I swore off street action years ago because of the risks. I don't think I can reliably recognize a decoy or a stakeout. I'm glad you were able to limit the damage.

Thanks for the info about your experience with the boys in blue.I am sorry you had to be the chosen one and I hope no other has to experience what you did.I got caught in Bean-town and got a free pass by an old cop that after the final 15 minutes of hell in my own mind was over ,I found out was shaking down the gals.
I made the p/u and went to a good place "so I thought" and started in.After 4-5 minutes into the deal saw the flashlight in the window thing.Got all the questions and he said stay here and I will be with you in a minute.After finding out that there was no problems with my paperwork asked me about the pay.I said nothing and he said how much did you pay her I said nothing.
He asked her how much did he pay she said nada.The thing was he was in uniform not plain street atire.He then pulled me aside and I figured I was going into the big house and he said it's your lucky night I don't want to see you down here again.I said ok sir no problem and thanks.I left and the gal was in the back of ther cruser when I headed out.No other cars wer there backing him up the whole time he was there.Smelled very funny to me and this was in the winter months not good weather so there were no people walking around looking at the deal going down.
I later found out from the gals friend he took her money put in in his pocket and turned her loose.He was working the late out shift by the Mobil station are near the newspaper.Old guy looked late 50's gray hair and this was over 3 years ago.
I have had run in's in Lawrence mass with undercover guys and that was like what you said the stop from hell.Asking me questions and then saying I don't believe you whatever the answer.And acting like they could shoot ya and never loose a minutes sleep over it.Thanks again and who likes to say anything for fear of letting the light shine back into our faces down the road.

I know it must have been hard to share your story. I know it has made me think twice.
Two additional items I would like to share from personal experiance:
1) Fact, once the Cop's handcuff you, you are going to the station. No matter what you do or say they will not take them off and let you go. You did the right thing. At that point it did not matter what you said so say nothing. I know from experiance that there is always the hope you can talk your way out of it but not once they handcuff you. it is over.
2) If you have a Company Car, a Rental Car or a friend's car you can not get the car back from the tow lot even if you pay them in cash becasue your name is not on the registration. They will call the registered owner and tell them they have the car and why they have it.
