Random thought about the Sharonville fire chief who is all over the news now (see link in News and Media thread):
Residential incall locations are generally better than lower-end motel incalls in terms of LE risk. But residential is obviously not foolproof.
Once again, LE saw fit to ruin someone because he sought what he wasn't getting, or getting enough of at home. Yes, the media reports say the investigation is focused on both the hobby and on drugs, and who knows, maybe there really was enough BS going on to make that environment unpleasant for other residents not involved in the scene. However, it is clear from years of evidence that both the war on drugs and the war on the hobby have been utter failures, yet LE keeps doing the same old blasted thing anyway. Thanks so much, LE.
Ditto. The only silver lining is that the political conversation is finally changing. But we are likely a long way from smarter and more humane policies. Vote accordingly.

Regardless, the same thing could easily happen to me, except they'd go straight to firing me instead of giving me any kind of leave or suspension.
I honestly don't know what to do. I usually tell myself I'm getting out of this deal whenever I read about something like this (but I obviously always end up back in the game). It's unsettling because I've done some hobbying in that part of town recently. But my little soldier has some good years left and I'm about take any vows of celibacy.
While I figure out what to do, I'm just going to keep hitting the gym and keep flirting with chicks.
