My extended Madison weekend.
Firstly, thanks to those those that have posted more over the past 10 years or so. Low number hobbyist here, if that's the right word. I've found that sharing of experiences no doubt adds to the enjoyment and safety.
I get a hall pass every 4-6 months, and I was holding onto my card since bc. I ended up having a clearing in my schedule to check in with someone that was touring, but my post is more about the other happenstances.
1) Keep your eyes open. Made a trip to my car in the parking lot of my hotel and two ladies exited their own vehicle. Both likely half my age had driven in from MKE and were going to make a road trip to Madison and maybe into work a shift at Bristol. I made eye contact, said hello, and one of the two responded with a question about the pool inside. Game on. Well, for some time well spent, both joined me in my room that night where time and company was fully enjoyed. One of them said she worked at CB and the other did not say if she worked there, but she knew what she was doing.
2) Made an appointment with someone, non-hotel, and two hours before the appointment received the address. Everything had seemed legit, and likely could have been. Problem is, as I did my circling of the neighborhood before I parked I took a different path into the address given and observed LE parked less than 8 doors from where I was going. Seemed to odd for being 12:15 pm, so I apologized to provider and explained. She was kind, understanding, and suggested it was only due to local road construction. (more info only to senior members in DM if desired).
3) Sooooo with it being midday and having popped a blue pill 30 minutes earlier I decided to go to GH and double check the lineup I had called about the day before. Wow. 1:30 pm and it was a full parking lot. Exited and came back an hour later and was happy to meet someone that had been there for 3+ years.
No need to name names or specifics to call people out, but just appreciating the notes I've read over the years to have a plan, think with the big head, and how it's only for time and company.
Because of it, I'll be back for more when the next pass is issued. (can fill in details to you seniors as you no doubt deserve more specifics if desired).
