I've experienced the same with other providers. And seems like the more regular you become the more lax the service, effort, or preparation becomes on their part. Part of what we pay for should be an expectation of a consistent level of service. But we can experience the same thing at our favorite restaurant. Sometimes you just have a bad experience (or our memories trick us in to believing it was better the first time).
