I would also like to see an AMP like the one I use to visit in the San Francisco Bay area when I went for training regularly. About half the ladies were Korean, but I saw a couple Chinese ladies, a Thai lady, A Japanese lady and a black lady there over several years. They normally had at least one white girl, but that was my diet back home. I always went to them normally, because the variety was very nice. I know AMP's normally have ladies from the same country, but one with variety would be outstanding.

Guys, just a heads-up about a report I received from a friend who is familiar with that general area. He said the old "rainbow spa" was raided within the past couple weeks, and someone close to him had to report to hcpd for re-education. Nothing in the news that I can see. I called Silk this evening, and it was answered by someone I didn't recognize. Personally, I'm not going back until I hear a familiar voice on the other end of the line. Just an FYI, and DYDD.

I use to go to Lily's / Brite a number of years ago for a change of pace (I really liked Ruby), but it got no fun when Howard County started the crackdown. I figure it would be my luck to be there for a raid, so I have avoided all Howard County AMP's including Ace where Ruby moved to.
Happy to report that Silk is running as usual. Made the trip this weekend after several other calls to establish confidence with an appt. Had a great session with Sophia, who confirmed all is well. Apparently the usual mamasan is on vacation through December. The earlier report I received was apparently false and, while from a trusted source, the message have been misunderstood or distorted somewhere down the line. I apologize for that, but posted out of an abundance of caution.

You may occasionally see a police car on the left side of the building. There is a pawn shop on that end.

Monica has one of the best personalities that I have seen of AMP providers in this area. I have been with all the other ladies at RL and Monica is the only one with a Bush. It's like going back in time to the 1970's and 1980's. IMO, Monica provides one of the best BBBJs that I have had in this area. She is very nice and always aims to please the customer. If I'm ever again asked for an up front tip, I'll just say "I tip at the end." I'll never again discuss a tip at RL. If I get only an unskilled massage, I'll probably tip $5 or $10. If I get a good quality massage, I'll probably tip $20.
I prefer to pay $85 for nothing ($80 house, $5 tip) than to pay double (or more) and not get good services.
Thanks for the heads up. Scary thought. I can't imagine that this could really be allowed to happen for very long at one of these places but I do sometimes wonder "what if".

When she asked if I had been there before, I said no. One of two times a lady discussed the tip before the fun. I went ahead and tipped her, but she acted like it could wait until the end of the session.
The second time was just like you. The lady insisted on negotiating up front, wanted the tip up front and then provided a terrible session. I went back two weeks later. I got a lady I knew worked there, but that I had not seen yet. She asked if I had been there before. I said yes and she asked who I saw last time. I told her and she said that lady did not last long here.
RL has had quite an influx of new ladies. I think some of the new ones are wanting to negotiate and want the tip up front. I figure it was what they did where they worked before. I myself would say RL ladies do not negotiate the tip. They also take the tip at the end of the session. This can work to your advantage. I tip based on the quality of the session and the effort you put into the session. If you give an excellent session, you will be rewarded.
I used to live here about 20 years ago when there was a lot of choice in the Howard County area, things have changed a lot since them. Hana Spa in Ellicott City was always reliable, with older, but friendly attendants. Hana is still there but it doesn't seem as friendly, probably just a sign of the times. I noticed a couple spas in the same area as Hana, but haven't tried them. While driving around I saw an out-of-the-way place on Fredrick Road in Ellicott City named Golden Day Spa, the location is interesting, was wondering if anyone has visited the place and if they have an expanded menu. It's just my MO, that I always lay out the tip up front, to avoid any discussion later. It's a risk I take with possibly getting bad service.
That said, any requests for a tip up front is a bad sign, IMO, and ranks right there with haggling. Unless you're a cheap SOB, and offering below the market rate. The other problem with low tips is guys who only want a HE at a FS spa. The lady is potentially missing a better FS tip while providing a basic HE for a smaller tip.

I never go to a place that is new or unreviewed. By putting the going rate + at 5%, it indicates that I understand how things operate. It makes things flow easier without the pause to negotiate and then going into my wallet to pull the exact change. It also avoids the situation where a provider quotes above market as a negotiating starting point.
It only worked against me once about 20+ years ago, I ended up taking back part of my tip for services not rendered.

I can tip the normal amount for an average session. I can also tip less than normal for a subpar session. I rarely tip below average though, because subpar sessions are rare. I would say I tip higher than average most of the time, because I normally get very good to excellent sessions at RL.

She was one of my favorites from the time I met her at SK Therapy in Laurel back in 1999. I followed her while she worked at many different AMPs in the area from 1999 until she left in 2004. Then I met the other Sunny at Kyoto in 2013. I also followed this Sunny while she worked at Kyoto in 2013 and 2014 and then at Golden Health Center in 2015 until she left in 2017. I had great memories with both of these ladies named Sunny. Those were the good days at Kyoto. Take care.

IMO, Sue is the best looking of all the ladies working at RL. I like the way all of the ladies who work at RL look. If you are looking to have fun then I recommend Sunny. My second favorite was Pink, but she left around the same time as Julie. I have been out of action for a while, but I think I can finally make a visit.
