Since it uses wifi or data, no logs are created other than through the app. I set the app up using an untraceable account and cash card. It's possible, but someone would have to dig deeper than it's worth to find me. Another nice feature is you can change your number easily and it's cheap. Google offers voice service with a free number and you can call / text from that on your phone, if you have android, no need for a second phone or have to install / uninstall apps.
