Denise took a Christmas vacation
at the Multnomah County jail, but she is scheduled to be out around January 21st. It will be good to see her back.
82nd Ave bust map in Oregonian
The Oregonian published a sort of 82nd Ave prostitution map on page B1 on September 14, 2008 ("Sirens vs. Sirens -- The Battle For 82nd"). The data covered July 2007 to June 2008, and revealed that vice calls primarily occurred on 82nd rather uniformly from Sandy Blvd to the Clackamas County line (though I have personally seen suspected hookers on 82nd down to near SE King Rd in Clackamas). There were also four calls on Sandy between NE Prescott & Killingsworth (though closer to the former). The indicator dots also ranged between approximately 72nd Ave and I-205 on either side of 82nd, with notable strings on main arterials like Stark, Glisan, Division, Powell, and Sandy mainly to the northeast of 82nd.
Unfortunately this fascinating map and accompanying article are no longer available online for free, but you might be able to get it off the paper's Website for a fee, or retrieve it from the library on microfilm.

A similar Portland Sentinel article that came out about the same time mentioned the area around Peninsula Park (Blocks around N Ainsworth St, N Rosa Parks Way, N Albina Ave, N Kerby Ave) in addtion to MLK and Interstate:

Anyone check these areas out in the last few months?
News reports on other areas
When driving a good monger like us all will keep on eye on traffic and the other on the side of the street . With the increased tax dollars you can bet some of the girls have moved. I have seen them on 122 at some of the bus shelters. jsut look for eye contact . Any girl watching the cars go and walking like they have no place special that they are headed to is working. THe NW MLK has been sporatic at best. I used to check it out some but with the economy headed down you are getting more desperate people out there. I am picky about what I like. Portland is not like Vegas where you can give a BJ to a cop, let him feel you up and still get busted , I have been there a few times and that is what the girls say there. Its alot harder to do a Check . Its been too busy for me lately to do alot of searching. mostly stuck at work. i am also waiting till spring weather gets here. Notihng worse than finding a girl who is not what she seems under the clothes. Cruise safe out there. Remember a normal girl would not be there in this weather if she did not have a purpose. Any girl walking with out a stride like she is going somewhere is likely working. just smile and think with the big head

Portland-area stroll list for bus riders
Based on posts from this board from the last 3 years, plus newspaper and TV reports. Numbers in parentheses indicate main bus/train lines that serve the stroll, with additional lines after some segments. Bus and train lines that only run during weekday commuter hours are not listed.
If you are not driving, then you don’t have to ID yourself to the police in Oregon and Washington—including transit cops and private security “cops”.

Thursday 1 pm on Sandy and 205
Got the smile back at me. Turned around to get a better look. Two girls walking down sandy where it comes from 205. But i swear I could have smelled them with the windows up and the wind blowing down stream. One looked passable but they both had the Crack look. I just wanted a quick blow and go or a have her lay down and hose away but just could not with the way they looked. Oh well. Maybe some other lucky dude will check them out
Come on guys lets start posting. More info the better
I did see a motor cycle cop have someone jacked up on 82 past stark. Not sure if he was speeding. No girls in sight.
Any one been to the AMPs in spokane. I visited there lately and found a great new nice young beautifyll thing. It was great.
No "Stop & Identify" law in OR
Mybudfang wrote: You required to have I. D. On your person 24/7. If le cannot identify you, they may, at thier discretion, detain long enough to determine your true I. D. Even if it means jail.
Nonsense. There is no "stop & identify" law in OR (or WA) like they have in some states like Nevada. Read the 6th bullet under "Your Rights" here:

I've tested this myself when cops in Portland and Vancouver have approached me outside of a vehicle and asked my name or requested to see my ID. However, it takes nerves of steel to assert this right and essentially ignore them and walk away because cops hate it when you take such a defensive stance with them right from the start because they're trained to begin interrogations with softball stuff like your name, to condition you into into cooperating with them. The problem I've found is that once you begin any dialogue with them and start acquiescing to their requests, it's hard to stop. The next thing you know, they're patting you down for "weapons", searching your bag or car, etc.
It's also important to know that if you're indoors, you never have to open your door for the police if they knock--or engage in any dialogue with them through the door (this applies to motel rooms as well as your residence). And like being questioned on the street, I strongly believe that any cooperation with them at your door inevitably leads to more questions, searches, and harassment. If they threaten to break down the door, say nothing and stand clear--usually they don't have authority to do that and are only bluffing (or else they wouldn't be asking you to open the door, right?)
