Basically, if she's young, pretty, and shows her face I'm thinking it must be botty. Thank goodness I prefer older women.
So they want an intro subscription of. 6 or a more hefty one for $. 6. It's all based on credits -- reading messages and seeing pics cost you credits. I could message and see pics for about 6-8 women with the lower subscription. The part that bothers me is that the only way I can subscribe is via my own credit card -- prepaids don't work for international sites like this. In any case, would you say, there are enough legitimate women to pay the higher fee or should I pay the lower fee and focus on a few that look the most promising?

What I would do (and do, myself) is forego the paid subscription, at least in the beginning.
There are bots (maybe 5% of the accounts on SeekingArrangement, would be my guess?) - but plenty of real girls / women on there.
What I've done is just be creative in finding them via other channels (the same way we research BP girls -- right click / google image search; plug their sugar user name into google) and then contact them directly.
Saves you the hassle of money and having to give out personal info (after the Ashley Madison hack / release there was NO WAY I was doing that.) and gives you an, albeit limited, pool of candidates to choose from.

The site was much better 2 years ago. That's not to say you can't find someone serious about meeting but the amount of work required to filter out scammers and time wasters almost outweighs the reward these days.
