Put your regular SIM card in, make it the primary, put in a pay-as-you-go card and use it for the private calls. I'm sure that different phones have security settings that let you keep it privacy protected. Or, if you have an unlocked phone, put a pay-as-you-go SIM card in, store the private SMS and contacts on it, and keep it in your favorite hiding place until you need to swap the cards.

All phones give you a choice to store contacts / SMS messages on the phone or on the card. Choose on the card every time.

Just ask any kiosk worker at the mall, or Sam's, or Costco (depending on who your service is with) about dual sim or if your phone is unlocked.

I would also suggest checking out Google Voice. It's an application that you download to your phone, choose a number, and configure the settings so no communication hits your primary number. Check out the following apps: Sideline, Burner & Textfree. All of those provide separate numbers that you can text & call from that are free permanently. They all have the option to send calls straight to voicemail without ringing your phone. You get the missed call notification which you can disable as well. Burner has a trial to start out then it's based credits (pay) that burns the number after a certain number of days or you can press a button to burn it. Hope this helps. Be safe.

Google Voice is totally free for both calls and texts and nothing will ever show on your bill. You do, however, have to have an email account and "real" phone number associated with the account. It depends.

On the degree of anonymity you want. Total anonymity (and I mean law enforcement as well) comes with a burner phone that you can get at Wal Mart or Target. Just play dumb and have the sales clerk activate the service for you using their phone so you don't have to use your number to activate it. Then there is absolutely nothing to connect you to that number.

I have been seeing her sporadically for 5-6 years. When I first met her, she was a little like that but, not that bad. She was very, very careful.
