5. Door opens and I see a very unattractive older lady face. Dog barks confirm they're in this room and not next door. I didn't say a word and left. And yes I had the right room because there was no text / call after asking where I'm at.

Wasted a lot of time and was confronted by handler / scammer in downtown hotel. It's been a while since I've been duped, but a broke all my rules today and almost ended up in a bad situation. Did some recon over the weekend and thought I had verified a girl that seemed TGTBT (looks vs rates quoted). Cash was good. No deposits requested. Was directed to two different hotels on separate days. Seemed like an agency but verification pics were satisfactory. Was directed to report to a floor (no room number given). Was met by AA gentlemen on the floor requesting the donation. At that point I realized I got to that floor because the guy that got on the elevator before me scanned his room key (another AA, assuming his accomplice). I played nice, apologized and let him know I would be leaving. That's when things got weird. He then followed me down the hall and into the elevator. He explained I owed him 100 cancelation fee. I decided then I would not engage and held my silence. Fortunately, another person got on the elevator and he withdrew. On the ground level he was back on my heels. It became clear he was going to follow me into the streets. I stopped at the crowded lobby Starbucks and armed myself with a hot, venti pikes place and walked outside in the opposite direction of my vehicle. He tracked me for 2 blocks telling me I owed him money. I didn't acknowledge him once. He finally gave in and left me alone. I waited nearly an hour before heading back to my ride.

I'm batting 0. 000 this week I guess. Had an experience with very similar setup reported yesterday with an ad I've seen pop up periodically. Got to hotel and directed to a floor, no room number.
