Its usually a girl that is an approximation of how they look like (but not them), old pictures, or pictures of Korean / Chinese models that you will have to go somewhat out of the way to find the original source (which is not the one working). Its somewhat easy to tell if a picture is AI or not by certain features (symmetry, general flatness of the lighting).

It's rare to use real photos, but it's not uncommon. J girls tend to use real photos, so it was surprising to see Yurina use fake photos.
