But unless I'm mistaken, I don't see how carrying your gun would get you an extra charge even in a sting. (Assuming you have a permit). It's not like robbing a bank, where the gun would definitely change things.

If someone barges in your weapon is attached to your pants out of arm's reach. Also the monger might have seen it while you were disrobing.

It all comes down to choice.

You should be aware that individual review sites aren't always indicative of the local mongering culture, just of that site's local popularity. USASG doesn't have a lot of posts in certain US cities but other review sites in those cities are on fire.

If you're looking for Caribbean mongering be aware that in St Maarten, Aruba, and Curacao prostitution is legal and regulated. But it's not cheap, and covid has really stifled the action on the islands since it's mostly foreign girls and travel was restricted.

I suggest you do some more research if you want to hit somewhere different from Costa Rica, but there's much to be said for going somewhere that you already know the ins and outs (so to speak).
