It's an easy workaround for the mongers to go a block further and then double back onto that street. Not so convenient for the residents though. More interesting is how the residents cope with all the traffic! Its not unusual to see cars lined up all the way down the block and causing a jam a block away at the 4 way stop.

First off, Figueroa is basically an autonomous zone. If you notice all the council districts and representative districts have the HG at the very border so that it is really no one's district. In one case the districts meet at fig and 65th. Given the amount of criminal activity there, the presence of LAPD is a joke. I have still never seen anyone be pulled over for making the illegal right turn, but you could probably pave fig in jade if they actually gave tickets.
So, why take the risk when you can out fook them. First off, right turns are allowed on like 68 and 69, you can use those. But really, why use fig at all, especially the chocolate shit show that is the west side of fig, I. E, between fig and Denver.
What I do is I drive north bound on fig, so that from Florence to Gage, the girls are on the passenger side on fig on the east side of fig. You can also see the girls on the west side, but then you have to make a left turn into that side of fig. So, what I do is if I see a girl on the east side of fig, I then remember the street. Like 66 and go all the way to gage, make a legal right turn at the light, and then a right turn on flower, and then on flower make another right on to the street you saw the gal. There is rarely more than a three monger line and the streets on that side are wider. The trick is you have to remember what street the girl was on, so you have to count the streets.
Also, it seems that this side of the street is more LSW and WSW than the other side.
If you do want to patronize the cocoa shit show on the west side of fig, I think your really only bet, if you want to abide by the law (traffic that is), is to drive south from Gage and when you see a gal you want to scoop, make a right on the first legal right turn, then a right on Denver, then a right back on the street you want and stand in line on that numbered street. What kills me is that girls are not smart enough (or their pimps) to have the girls walk fig and allow for curbside service like at California chicken cafe. Then the right turns are avoided. Of course fig would turn into the equivalent of a dodger stadium bathroom pisser in terms of wait time.
