And this child is at an age where they can absolutely figure out what is going on and it just might leave a lasting imprint on them.
Given that child's gender and age, inviting men who are strangers whom she meets on the internet to be around is extremely dangerous, in my opinion.

Chatted someone up, it moved to text. In this text conversation, after this person explained in detail what they wanted and sent nudes. All without being prompted. They tell me they are underage. At that point, I stop communicating entirely. Not only is that a hard pass for me, they just didn't "talk" like a kid.
This person (posing as a female) said she is 17 and would see me as the legal age of consent in Oregon is 16 (it is not) but if I wanted to wait until she was 18 at the end of the month, we could "just talk" until that time. I didn't entertain any of that, I simply stopped communicating.
Even if it was really a teen, it doesn't matter. I'm not encouraging that.
SO, a day later, I get a call from a 505 area code. The voicemail (I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know, even on my burner line) is purportedly a detective who encourages me to "google this number and it will come back as portland police. " This person tells me they "have enough to charge me" but "wants to avoid that" and told me to call back urgently. This person was really huffy and trying to sound like a cop out of a bad 70's b-movie. They also encouraged me to text their "personal line" to resolve this.
I googled the number I was called from for the lulz and it did come back as a PPD number. Because of the prefix and line number. Google tries to get MOST of the number right, and save for the area code, it's a match to a number associated with the PPD. I look up the name the officer gave me, and there's a LinkedIn profile with no image. (I was logged out of LinkedIn. This is likely a way to figure out who you are, too, as they know people will google the name and the LinkedIn profile will come up.).
I asked this "officer" for their badge number, and he texts me that he does not have to do that and he can verify himself with a phone call. I ask for other details (what the charge is, etc.) and he just keeps calling and insisting I call immediately. A lot of pressure to call, and we all know that's so they can try to scare you into paying them.
Eventually, the "girl's father" texts me from the number she / they had been texting me from and asks "what the hell I have going on" with his daughter and that she's "in the hospital over all of this" which doesn't even make sense, but okay. Sure.
I ask the "detective" where we can meet and talk in person. He says I have to call him "within ten minutes or he will see me in the morning to arrest me. ".
I say "I'll see you in the morning and PPD HQ, be in the lobby to arrest me. " I then text this girl's "father" to be there when I turn myself in and we can talk.
Crickets from both numbers. And no, nobody came to arrest me.
Anyway, fun story, and if you've never encountered that sort of thing, now you know.
