It can happen to any of us.[/QUOTE]This is tricky and I've had this happen to me with someone I had seen before (her excuse was legit but she cancelled as I was pulling into the booked hotel). I called the hotel from the parking lot and the guy at the front desk told me it was no problem to cancel. During covid, many hotels have moved away from the stricter cancellation polices of a few months ago. Not sure how long it will last but you should be able to cancel last minute until covid polices change-depending on the chain. As a best practice for first meets, I generally wait until I see her in the parking lot before booking the hotel. Many of these girls are just too unreliable.
