There are two factors at work. One is that people get the sugarbowl they are looking for. If you are seeking a certain type of SB, one who is really not very different than a escort (UTR), or even a streetwalker, well, I can believe that is true. There are others who operate at a very different level, and I have not ever been concerned about such issues when dealing with them (my interest in POTs). Then there is the matter of geography. Keep in mind that this Richmond thread has become the de facto national thread for sugaring, people from all over read it. It could apply to those girls you guys are targeting in the Richmond area, if that's where you are from. Again, it doesn't apply to southern CA where I am. That's not to say I haven't ever had issues w / girls that are clearly having difficulty 'adjusting to adult life' as the mental health professionals say. Heck, sometimes those who have security / abandonment issues (absent daddy) make the best SBs. They are really into the older guys as a result. As I am beyond 60, this is what I need to get into a teenager's pants. If you ever find a girl who says she was adopted, run, don't walk, to get to her. They have these issues in spades.

VCU was in the top 10 last year but has dropped down a few slots. I was lucky enough to spend 11 enjoyable months with a nice VCU SB before she graduated and moved away. Lots of nice memories and solid documentation to relive the memories.

I think you're confusing what makes a good SB with her being well-adjusted. We are talking about the same cohort here. You go on to talk about security and absent daddy and those are your girls with daddy issues. Those are exactly the girls that are on medicinal cocktails for depression and anxiety plus therapy. Abandonment issues is a core criteria for BPD women. I'm sorry to break it to you but the girls you are seeking are the ones that are completely messed up. It has nothing to do with geography. Can't help but chime in on this one. Although I'm new to the web versions of sugaring, I've been lucky enough in the past to be with a few younger girls. You can't help but sympathize at times.

One girl I was with tended to break down into an ugly cry anytime I was a bit firm with my words, like when I would catch her in a lie. Although I found that a complete turn-off, I often found myself being more of a mentor to these girls. Needless to say, I got tired of that, but now I'm coming across a more evolved girl, one who's almost completely shut down. Sure I'd bang, but I'm still hoping to find a keeper.

To a tee, with the exception of one girl who was totally normal, just liked money and sex, and was going to community college and lived with her parents who were both still together, 100% of the best girls I've ever been with in this hobby have been adopted.

If a girl is in this game and it's not for drug money, there is a very, very high chance she's adopted, and a neat little ball of abandonment and daddy issues which somehow makes them awesome SBs when you manage them well.

The flip side of this coin is that if you're thinking of being a good samaritan and adopting, don't adopt a girl. I've personal experience (not directly, but family) and had long term relationships with adopted SBs and have seen and heard the stories of what happens and what they do to their adoptive family. They'll ruin your life and drain you broke. Just don't do it.
