BellaSwann -- Stealing log in information
BellaSwann is a dangerous scammer (and I did something idiotic). I don't have a link for her because I blocked her before remembering to copy the url.
When we first messaged, she quickly moved me to text, but didn't unlock her private pictures. After a few phone texts, she asked me what I thought of her pics on Seeking. I reminded her that she needed to unlock them for me. She sent me a link that looked like a link to a Seeking page and said you can see the pics here. When I clicked the link, the landing page looked exactly like the Seeking log in page. I was in a rush and didn't stop to think that it was a scam. I entered my name and password and it wasn't her profile page -- it was a list of profiles like you see after you have clicked a search. That's when the light went on for me. I quickly realized that it was a fake page to steal my email and password. I went back to the real Seeking and immediately changed my password.
Fortunately, I have never used that password anywhere else in the past. I only use that particular email address for adult dating sites and for the email accounts that I use only for adult dating activities. I was not using my usual adult dating password with Seeking because they briefly banned me for suspicious log in activity after I had been traveling. To get reinstated by Seeking, I had to create a new password. So, luckily, Seeking was literally the only site for which I have ever used that password. As a result, I don't think that I'm at any risk despite falling for the phishing. I know we have computer experts in this thread, so please let me know if there is some other risk I'm overlooking.
Hopefully this post will save some of you from making the same stupid mistake I did. I'm sure this scam will be back with a different profile once Seeking investigates and bans BellaSwann.
