All it really comes down to is making a phone call. If you have the time to call me, ask me 15 questions, spend 8 minutes on the phone with me, talking to me to make an appointment, and trying to get directions, then you can surely take the 30 seconds out of your time that it would take to call me back and either reschedule your appointment or cancel it. Plain and simple.

I am doing this because I have had too many people schedule appointments with me and not call to cancel/reschedule or just not show up at all. Having the deposit/fee be non refundable would definitely help discourage the amount of cancellations/no show appointments. You'll have already made the deposit, so why not show up? Plus, it wouldn't make sense for me to try to rip somebody off for $40 when I know that I have more coming to me.

Also, punctuality and promptness seem to be becoming an issue with some people. If you make an appointment with me and are going to be late, even if it's only 2 minutes, YOU NEED TO CALL AND INFORM ME. It has happened too often over the past couple weeks that an appointment is scheduled, the appointment time comes and passes, I receive no phone call (leading me to believe that you are a no call/no show), and then, you finally arrive. You're 35 minutes late and your appointment was only scheduled to be a 30 minute appointment. No longer will I be tolerating/accepting late appointments. If you schedule an appointment with me for 1:00, then you need to be here at exactly 1:00. Not 12:45 and not 1:15. Anybody who arrives late from now on will have the time deducted from our scheduled appointment time.

If for some reason or another you do realize that you are going to be late, it is your responsibility to CALL ME IMMEDIATELY and let me know. After that, since I will have been informed of your lateness, you will then be given a 15 minute grace period and will still be able to be seen. However, anything after that will automatically be deducted from our time.

So if you schedule an appointment with me and arrive 30 minutes late, without any type of notice or phone call, or if you exceed the grace period, you will have that 30 minutes deducted from our time. If your appointment with me was only scheduled to be a 30 minute appointment, then you will no longer have that appointment and will have driven all the way out here for nothing. Your lateness is NOT my responsibility. I DO NOT have to deal with it and I WON'T! Once again, this all comes down to common courtesy and responsibility. This change will take effect starting Friday, August 11, 2010.

Finally, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, I will begin posting the names and phone numbers of ALL no call/no show appointments online to numerous provider information sites. This is to help inform all of the other providers out there as to who the safe, reliable, responsible, and legitimate clients are, and to help them sort out the people who like to call and waste time, or who may pose a threat to a providers safety. Just as there are sites for you to leave reviews about us, there are many more sites available to us providers. It is somewhat like the "whitelisting" system used by other sites.

Back in April, I had began to post the names and numbers of some of the no call/no show appointments I had been receiving on to just one site in particular. But I have since discovered that there are a lot more sites available for provider use, and I have decided to take advantage of them by using every single one of them. These sites are great for both clients and providers. They have helped many reputable clients maintain their status as being reliable and have also helped us (providers) avoid the disrescpetful and rude jerks out there who just like to get on a phone and waste peoples time by making prank calls because they have nothing better to do with theirs.

Just in the past 2 weeks alone, I have had a dozen no call/no show appointments. That is outrageous! If you have no intention of actually keeping your appointment and showing up ON TIME, then PLEASE DON'T WASTE MY TIME! This is a business and is not something that is done for fun. If you cannot respect me, my business, and my time, then please don't bother me!

Interestingly I've been subscribed to her newsletters for awhile now (I checked today) and I didn't get this one. Now I'm not saying it isn't true but just that I didn't get it and it isn't posted anywhere on her site. (I checked and it isn't even under members only although I might have missed it). You did a great job of describing the events - If it wasn't so depressing, it would have been funny! For me personally, there is absolutely nothing that slows the whole thing down more than "Are you almost done"?
I only wish I had only one similar tale to to tell, but unfortunately have had a number of similar horrid experiences. BTW, none of the horrid experiences I had were ever a result of my trying to get something a lot cheaper that they initially told me. I always figured that getting there with less money that they quoted was going to guarantee a bad experience.

Well folks. Seems I am in need of finding some new talent. All the providers I have gone to see in the past have become severely unreliable. AOL News (Sept. 4) – Craigslist, the classified ads website, took down its "adult services" section after criticism that it enabled prostitution.

The adult services section, which previously contained solicitations for sex, has been replaced on the Craigslist homepage with a sign saying "censored."

The section is still open for people browsing the Web from outside the United States, CNN reported.

Last week, attorneys general in 17 states wrote an open letter to the website's founder Craig Newmark and CEO Jim Buckmaster, urging them to permanently close the section.

"Ads for prostitution -- including ads trafficking children -- are rampant," the letter said, according to CNN.

Craigslist did not immediately respond to e-mails from AOL News seeking comment.

The adult services section has been a huge money-spinner for the classified site, even in a sluggish economy.

According to an April report by media consultancy the AIM Group, Craigslist's adult services section accounts for 30 percent of the site's total revenue -- an estimated $36.6 million in 2010.

There's a lot of scum sucking bottom feeders lurking here who never post. While you should be commended for your post it appears it has driven her underground. More than likely her phone rang off the hook and she was overwhelmed along with being scared of a set-up for a sting/bust.
