I can just about assume 90%+ living in a hotel and having no car probably have a record or more likely just got out of jail or are probably pending for court in a different county. When you are locked up, you can't pay your bills, you lose your apartment, they seize your car as evidence or the impound rate is hilariously more than the car is worth so you give it up.
