As for expungement you'd want to talk to a lawyer ASAP to get the ball rolling on getting any public records sealed. Best of luck.

If pre-trial diversion is out of the question, once the case is closed and you're done with probation or whatever punishment, your lawyer can give you paperwork to get the record sealed. I think that will cost around $300 plus whatever your lawyer charges. It has to be sealed for some period of time, like several years, then it can be expunged. While it's sealed, it doesn't show up when people search the county court's website but might still show up on background reports.
Also, once that's on your record, you're no longer a first-time offender so you have to be extra careful (or give up the hobby altogether if you can).
