Divorce Lawyers
Don't laugh but can someone recommend a good divorce lawyer in the Nashville / surrounding area? No I didn't get caught, just unhappy.
PM please.
H32.
Tennessee allows couples to divorce without a lawyer if you both agree and can come to terms. You can get mediators to help and download all the forms from the Tennessee government web site. It doesn't have to be expensive unless one of the parties wants it to be expensive.
I only know this cause I almost got one a few years ago. I feel your pain and I am sincerely sorry for you. Being unhappy in a marriage is unbearable too so good luck with your decision.
Take care.

Burner phone
Good day all, I am needing to purchase a burner / pre-paid phone. (smart phone) any suggestions on the best deals.
Thanks in advance.
H32.
Would a texting / phone app serve your needs? You can mute all notifications and only use it when you need to reach out to someone. Can change the number most anytime you like and not have to carry two phones or hide one.

Thanks eveyone
Try to negotiate a settlement with your spouse, will save a lot of money. If not possible, get a fee agreement with the attorney you pick. Tell them EVERYTHING. Do the work for them, it will save you lots of money. Also, know everything the lawyer is doing, you know more about the situation than they do. I wish you, your wife and family the best.

Thanks. I don't think it is funny, I was just trying to make light of a stressful situation.
Thanks again,
H32.
This has not been an easy decision. I have been married for 39 years and I just simply not happy. I know it sounds selfish, but I have always done things my entire life for everyone. It's time to do something for me!
Sorry didn't mean to rant!
Thanks all!

Most wives will talk with a lawyer at some point "just to make sure everything's fair" without telling their husbands. The attorney will ask her not tell you that she has retained counsel, and all the while they are building their case against you. Try John Michael Thompson at Ward, Derryberry and Thompson. I used him many years ago and he helped me keep my pride. And the house. Hang in there.

Thanks again,
H32.
No, brother, I didn't mean I thought you thought it was funny. I meant that we don't think it's funny or laughable. Specially not those of us who have been through it.
When you know you need to do it, you'll have the strength to get through it. It's miserable but once it's over you comfort yourself by saying I did the right thing and you move on. I got way too much adviceWhen I was going through it so the only thing I will tell you that I wished I would have done differently is maintained a better relationship with my ex. Self control would have gone a long way for me. Good luck.
