You may be overthinking this. It's just one man's opinion of a number he assigned to her. We don't know if a guy is basing his value on a girl's face, body, youth, etc. I've been in the hobby off and on since the '70's and will state that once you hit 50 the scale automatically goes up a point or 2 for babes in 20's. Not that our standards go down, just that youth has its own appeal and excitement for old guys.
When Chris says she's a 9 I assume she at the very least is a 7, allowing for personal differences in taste. Regardless if she is SW or BP she is clearly very attractive. These ratings are, in my opinion, IRL opinions. Forget about models, actresses and such. They don't exist in our hobby so using that scale is folly.
An 8, 9 or 10 will turn heads in any bar, sales counter or strolling (not on the stroll) on a busy street. A 6 will make many take a look and a 5 is an average-looking girl who may be attractive to many. Below that is as you said, quite common on SW and BP too. Methinks your scale is higher than most if you've only ever encountered one 9 in the hobby. There are 8's and 9's on Cols BP most anytime, not including the too obvious fake or borrowed pics.

Like I said, I have been with one 9 in my life (face & body) . There are a lot of 9's in NYC & LA in this business. They are good enough looking to be actual models, and probably are to some degree, but just don't have the talent to make the big time. And, yes, I realize there are different tastes out there, but by most standards of beauty in western culture, the difference between good looking and homely is apparent. IMO, I have never seen a 9 on Columbus BP and can't remember the last time I have seen an 8. I am extremely pleased when I meet up with a 7 in this hobby. I will usually repeat with a 6, depending on the performance. I have seen some very high 8's with great performances for reasonable prices in other cities (3.0-5.0). So they are out there. Did a little inspection of our taxpayer fees for cleaning the main thorough fares and side streets last night. Sorry to report that every side street that I traveled was terrible and at times, the main thorough fares were not so great either. On top of that, no one shoveled their sidewalks either so those that were having to walk were in a terrible position. Saw quite a few ladies bundled up trying to navigate the treacherous waters but the route was only providing a 2-4 scale so the stops were being

Fellow travelers. On my way back through town after too many months ...last time through the temps were much higher.
