The whole presumption of innocence until proven guilty is bullshit. I was actually watching a documentary on this last week. If you were actually innocent til proven guilty, they wouldn't be able to publish this story until there were actual CONVICTIONS of a crime but the media and court of public opinion convict you before you ever stand in front of a judge.
On the flip side, picking up hookers in front of children bus stops and schools is not cool. If I had kids, I would be pissed too. I wouldn't want my children seeing that. Fortunately, I live in a community where I'll probably see a unicorn walking down the street before I would a street walker, I'm sure that's the case with many of you as well. So while I don't agree with the prostitution laws of our society I can empathize with the residents.

Criminalizing the behavior is obviously not the solution and they are not going to get help until THEY want it. Maybe if there was a place set up where they could take johns, (an old warehouse for instance, furnished with beds and stocked with condoms and hygiene supplies), that would be their safe zone. Still arrest for street walking but let them have an option. That will get them off the street, which should make the residents happy.
Let's face it, you can hate it all you want but prostitution is mankind's oldest profession and its not going anywhere. Also, St Louis is the most violent city in America, how long can they afford to address resources to this when our murder and violent crime rate is through the roof.
In a couple weeks the residents will feel like something was done, the cops will go back to fighting the crime that really matter and the girls will be out on the stroll again.

I wonder who the 16 yr old ho was? Nowadays you need to check their identification or see some wrinkles on their face. LOL! Anyway, I've been having luck on the hit or miss daytime strolls such as Woodson Rd and also St Charles RK RD and Lynn Town Rd near the Taco Bell. Also St Charles RK RD and Hwy 270 across from the QT there is a Super 8 and another hotel near the Waffle House. The other day at about 10 am I ran into 2 ho's that take cash for ass coming from the Super 8 next to the Waffle House. Also if you roll through the Airport Inn from 10 a - 7 p on Lindberg across from the Steak and Shake you will see a few ho's to pick up. In other words there still is to many options to choose from. The South Side Stroll isn't the only stroll to get ass for cash from some drug addict ho. You just have to hit the road and see for yourself. Idunoo, I guess some mongers don't have the time like me to check and see. Since I'm 52 and 401 k retired I got the time and the money to to locate the different strolls and ho's around the Lou. Try not to let LE get you down! Just take a trip to the other light weight strolls across town! You may see some other ho's to choose from. I know I do. Oh well good luck. ZIPTHRUDALOU!

There is a blood plasma bank across the street next to the Home Decor. And a liquor store also. Ho's catch the bus to that area from all over the metropolitan area just to go to that blood plasma bank all day long. That old Days Inn is also some sort of homeless shelter mixed in with an extend stay suites. I've mentioned it before that if you go to that Mikky D's and just sit on the lot for a an hr or so from 10 a thru about maybe 4 p you may see some pick up action. It's hit or miss though. Just get a brewski at the liqour store and park over at the Mikky D's and see who walks across the street from the Old Days Inn. Good Luck. ZIP!

Got a soda at Hanley McD, sat outside lot with window down. Ho walked over and asked for ride back over to the Notel. AA, 25, cardinal red hair, 5-8, 115, skin tight pants.
