That's avoiding paying taxes on cigarettes. It can mean cigarettes that never got a tax stamp at all, or have counterfeit taxes -- that's like an organized crime deal. Usually it means buying cigarettes in a place with lower taxes to avoid higher local taxes. It's a big problem where there is access to legal, untaxed cigarettes -- for example near Native American reservations -- or near borders where large disparities in taxes exist. Why do you ask, Blaaatime? Are you not 21 yet?

According to the info at tuscl.com , the age of admittance at Roxy's is 21. The web site shows 21 for almost all the clubs. Crystal Palace in Centreville is an exception at 18.

However, I'm thinking the Tuscl.com site must be wrong, because when I entered PT's Brooklyn across the street, the guy carded me. Once he confirmed my age, he wrapped a drinking ribbon around my wrist, so I'm guessing they must allow 18+ customers into the club. I guess the tuscl.com info needs updating.

Another odd thing is the Tuscl site shows that the daytime cover charge at PT's Brooklyn is $6 and $8 at night. This guy charged me $10 at 1 PM in the afternoon on a Wednesday. I wonder who's right: Tuscl or the zealous carder ;)

I'd hate to think he was being dishonest.

It had been a while since I was in a club, and I forgot they did it like that. Most places do.

So, being the bastard that I am, the next night I went in and paid with a 50. The same doorman asked me if I had anything smaller. I showed him the 400 I had: two 50 bills and three larger. Got 45 Geo Washingtons back.

The last night I was in town I went back loaded with c-notes. The same doorman laughed and let me in for free. I tipped him 10 on the way out for being a good sport.

However last year the new governor in Iowa kept a campaign promise to raise cigarette taxes. They are no more in Iowa than hey are in Illinois. I recalling seeing a news story on Tv of people complaining saying they voted for the guy but did not think he would keep his promise to raise taxes. So olks in the Quad Cities now make an effort to buy gas and general merchandise in Iowa and cigarettes, pop and beer in Illinois. Due to taxes and can deposits.

LowRad, when I was in town last week, I stayed at that hotel across from Miss Kitty's. I'm not surprised that there are some funny, unusual things happening at the house just west of the hotel, because just as I was about to get some sleep at 1 AM, I noticed a whole lot of smoke coming from an area just west and north of the hotel. **[u]A whole, whole lot of smoke.[/u]** Guests in the hotel were concerned. We could all smell a lot of burning in addition to the smoke. The firefighters were called out. Never a dull moment in Washington Park.

By the way, that hotel, the newly renovated Econo Inn, is a good place to bring a street walker or escort, because there are locked metal security doors that lead to each hallway and prevent entry by intruders. You need to insert a special card into the hall door's card reader to get into the hallway.

Another great thing about the Econo Inn across from Miss Kitty's is each hallway (the top-floor hallway, the bottom floor hallway, and a third hallway) requires its own special card. So somebody staying in a room on the bottom floor can't access the top floor hallway. His card only works to unlock the bottom hallway's door.

I almost hate giving out this information. I don't want to miss out on a room there because one of you other wankers rented it out before me :)

One final amazing thing I noticed about this hotel is *every* door is made of strong metal, even the bathroom doors! I guess this makes'em harder to burn down.

The hotel was recently renovated with new beds, new furniture, new showers, new everything. $47 per night for up to 2 people. They also have a $2x hourly rate. - Rosco

Here's an old story. I could be wrong, but I think I remember it being told by Chevy Chase.

Ms. Ks, some small extras at Ms K's but more if you become a regular from what I understand. Gorgeous women at Hustler and Hollywood but hard to come by any extras. C-Mowes, Dollies and Blondies seem to just be limited by your views of privacy and the cash you bring. From what I understand Wise Guys is getting mixed reviews as far as extras go. I've been once and it's clean and has a good set up. Didn't stay too long as the girls there that night weren't what I was looking for. I'll certainly be back though.
