...to some extent, it's going on in every club. It's been that way for longer than any of us have been lurking in stripjoints. The only difference between now and then is frequency and the level of discretion chosen by those dancers who push the envelope. Sportsman's should be offering FS. Not every dancer but given the level of sleaze with some dancers there, and the fact they have essentially bedrooms downstairs, market economics would dictate that FS would be commonplace there. I am not aware of it happening at all, nonetheless being common.
Satin Doll has been pretty strict about what is offered -- why? I heard it lost its nude license years ago due to dancers giving BJs (don't know if that's true -- it was during Cianci's crackdown 15 +/- years ago. Why are they doing more? Went by Club balloons the other day and had a lap dance from Casey. First off I have been too all of the clubs in our little state, and had some fun times and some bad times, but this was the worst.
First off I cannot blame the girl for all of this since I let me little head do the thinking for me, plus she had a nice large rack. Got up sold to a nude lap dance and thought I would be having a good time, but it turns out only looky no touchy, so I left a buck fifty poorer.
Off to Club Caddy and more than made up for it with some of the fun girls there.
But my information has always been that the city keeps a close eye on those two club because they are down town. I agree that the sleeze factor at SI is pretty high but I don't visit either of those clubs unless I happen to be working within walking distance. I realize that the act itself is not a crime but the city can find lots of ways to squeeze a club owners nuts if they want to. If Providence doesn't want a ***** house across the street from the convention center there won't be one.
As far as the over-all scene in Providence goes, my point about every dancer not wanting to be a prostitute has everything to do with why things are the way they are.
Cheaters has created an environment where the prostitutes are not at odds with the clean girls. The clean girls simply leave if they can't earn (and yes, some clean girls do still earn at Cheaters). They know that it is what it is in there. Even before it condoned blatant sex acts Cheater was always the dirtiest club in Town.
Every other club in Providence is different in that the management simply looks the other way but does not openly condone sex acts. This is where the dancer's choice comes in. Some girls will choose to turn tricks but most will not. The vast majority of strippers are not prostitutes but most of the ones that are will work at the club that makes it easier for them to ply their trade.
Honestly, I avoid Cheaters like the plague most of the time. If all of the other clubs in Providence had the same talent level and the same atmosphere I would probably stop going to Providence clubs.
Obviously we are all mongers here on this board but the vast majority of guys go to strip clubs are not. They go to have a few drinks, relax and buy dances from hot strippers.
The mongers who absolutely positively want a BJ of FS go to Cheaters or know who to see in the other clubs.

I agree with most points. I haven't been to Cheaters since it went from high mileage to full service -- my last experience there was a lap dance where she literally blew the world's most hideous fart in my face. I dry heaved (struggled to keep dry) and since even driving makes me nauseous.
I have stuck to CF, SD, SI since and I agree with your assessment.
When it is bad, it really sucks, but when it is good, the Satin Doll is one of the coolest places I can think to hang out in.
Good-looking to damn-beautiful girls hanging out and chatting -- almost too low-pressure at times, but never pressure for drinks, dances, upsells, etc. If you want a beautiful, near-teenager to sit on your lap for an hour without asking for a dollar, that is the place to go.
Like every place, it goes through management cycles and has had its low points. A year ago, it seemed to be back on track and I was down there every couple week (like you, whenever I had an excuse to go to PVD during biz hours I would drop by the SD).
But current ATF is Mario's, so be perfectly honest, I don't think I have been to a PVD club since '06. One issue I have with the downtown clubs (never an issue at Mario's) is all the wannabe playas coming in and shooting pool, talking shit and sometimes starting shit. I don't know why clubs to don't crackdown on those types as they never spend anything, just nurse beers and play pool and harass the girls. They definitely cost clubs $$.

Been busy lately but will be heading to the SD on thursday; let you know about the asian girls them. When I was last there one was really hot but she was really laying it on thick with this one guy. Intersting place, in all my travels in providence I never came here before.
