my memory of the east hartford place was that it was called the little house of foxes or house of foxes or something like that. I recall it was related to a place on main st in Manchester with a similar name that dated back to the days when manchester had 2 MP's, 5 adult bookstores a porn theater and a strip club called the brass hammer. I am going back to the 70's on this one guys.

Spear
In the 80's used to be one on the second floor of a street that
ran from Main St. to the Civic Center. Can't remember the name,
put I remember the kitchen timers out side the door, as
mentioned at the Aristocrat.
I remember girls (but not names) that worked at 3-4 different
MP's in Hartford. Get in a fight at one, go to the next, etc.
About a year after, they would show up at the first one.
Trio's was the bar and "Strip Joint" that was on corner of
Washington and Park St. The "porn shop" used to be
next door. The $20 BJ, if you waited to 12:00 AM, was
available on the Street for $10, same girl.
The M/P next to that had a Greek name, if my memory serves
me correct. Something like Pompay; at least I remember the
fancy columbs outside.
Remeber when the Sports Page of the Courant had 8-10 ads
for the area MP's?

>foxes or something
Yep, House of Foxes. The different sessions had
names like "Silver Fox", "Golden Fox", and my
favorite name (not that I ever sprang for it--
it was $100 or more back then, when that was
real money), the two-girl "Double Fox". Double
entendre, anyone?

I love this...Put out a trivia question an get more good conversation then we had in a month. Brings back lots of memories guys.
Pogo House of Foxes was on second floor of small shopping center on Burnside Ave. Vil sounds like he was there many times.
Oldtimer... You are refering to Pompeis. It was owned by Bobby Ponpei who also had a food place on Ann St in Hartford. Pompeis in East Hartford is the location where Kahoots is now.
New word out that a new venture incall being opened in Enfield.
Any more guesses on my trivia question?

OK Monger
Reading your question again; "Adult entertainment" business.
Like maybe a strip joint or lingerie modeling "studio"?
"Where was it located "LAST"?
Sounds like this place had more than 1 location. Also we are
talking AFTER Whispers and Aristocrat. Must have been a
place I've never been to. But I'll bet it's not a MP or AMP.
Am I on the right track?
-
Oldtimer It was here before an after Whispers.
It was in Hartford at three different locations. Not at the same time. Moved from one to the other to the other.
It is not an AMP or MP. Then again neither was the Aristacrate at the end. It was an encounter studio. It was not a strip club.
Yes last address in Hartford that it did business. Ill take first or second if thats easier.
It had incall an outcall.
-
Those were the days my friend, I thought they would never end. We would sing and dance...
Oh, sorry. I just got caught up in song for a moment. Carry on.
-
Monger,
Was it Maxim Lingerie, which now has places in Springfield and Worchester, Ma? If I recall they did move locations several times from Franklin Ave near Alpha to Maxim rd. I don't recall the other location.

-
Monger -- Was it called Gentlemen's Quarters or French Quarter (or something like that) I seem to have a memory of seeing a location in hartford with a sign....

-
Monger,
I think whispers was formerly called SMART SET?
-
JMG is the trivia winner.
It was originally locared on Market St behind a beauty place. Rear door. Then it moved to Franklin Ave. It was on the whole first floor of what is now Dominoes Pizza 250 ft to the left of Alpha. They had an ad for drivers anphone people in Advocate7 years ago. I went in an interviewed for driver out of curiosity. Owner was a blond European lady. They had rooms in back an did a big outcall business.A lot of the talent was from Mass. They then moved to an industreal area on Maxim Rd. Thats about 1 mile north of Cinima City.It was in back ofa commercial building. Again no sign just like on Market St. It closed couple years ago an the moved to Springfield where they are operating today.
It closed after Whispers .
As the trivia winner JMG gets a free session at Alpha tonight.

Dear Monger22:
I remember that place from when it was on Market Street, but had no idea that it had moved to the other locations in Hartford, I thought it had jusat closed up for good.
Thanks for the fun and the memories!
P.S. No one has answered my own trivia question - what was Whispers (on Webster) called in the 80s?
