"Ad vs Add" and "I had a dream" rant
I just thought I would post a short rant on a couple of pet peeves of mind.
There are many posters in this forum that either confuse or don't know the difference between "ad" versus "add". Ad is short for advertisement. Add is what you do in math when totaling or adding multiple items. What amazes me, I see some of the same guys with hundreds of posts continuing to use add instead of ad when they are referring to advertisements.
Another pet peeve of mind is when guys start their posts with "I had a dream" or describe their encounters in terms of a dream. I assume they do this for legal reasons but not really sure.
Thanks for reading my stupid rant.
I recently saw a segment on one of the major network's morning shows about the H epidemic in Ohio. They were in Montgomery county talking to people. They spoke with the sheriff and a incarcerated lady in the detox unit. Our least favorite uncle has amped up efforts this year, as we all know, this national spotlight will likely bring more pressure and resources into the area, if it hasn't already.
Also, its getting hot outside so violence increases which means more effort by you know who.
Just my two cents.
Dayton is number 1 in USA ratings,. Sad.
Provider in hard circumstances
I was asked to copy this from the Cincinnati forum by DGoesDown, a Sr member about another female in need.
One of our retired favorites has been diagnosed with stage two cervical and ovarian cancer. She is currently going through six months of chemotherapy and radiation. She is two months into it and had to take a medical leave of absence from a job she has been at for less than a year.
She doesn't receive FMLA and isn't eligible for vacation so this has caused her hardships and delinquencies in her efforts to meet her financial obligations.
One of the SR Cincinnati mongers has been in contact with her and helping when he has extra funds. This is in no way scam but rather a temporary hand up until she is through this and back on her feet.
If you are in a position of unselfishness and able to help in any way, please contact user DGoesDown and he will give you the necessary information.
