I finally made it to "Shangri-La," aka "DH!
After reading all the "TGTBT" reviews on here, and seeing the "TGTBT" pics on their "Tumbler" blog, I just had to make the trek to the outskirts of Queens, if only to see for myself if such a mythical place existed, and after seeing it with my own eyes (and experiencing it with other parts of my body! I can honestly say, "yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!"
First off, this blessed event almost didn't happen. After taking a long ride on the 7 to the appointed stop, I was unable to reach them via either phone or text. I was beginning to wonder if this was a scam, or a set up, after all. Finally after repeated texts (and a half hour wait! They got back to me, albeit with a generic text just advertising the place. I decided to at least check it out, regardless, after having come this far.
After the long hike from the subway station, I approached a house with balloons outside, which I guess they use to distinguish it from the rest of the non-descript houses on the common, quiet block. The door suddenly opened and this squat, South American dude asked me about my phone. I initially thought he wanted to confiscate it, but after asking for clarification, he just wanted to know my number. He then beckoned me into the house.
Once inside, another South American dude asked if I had called ahead and what my nationality was. After replying, he directed me upstairs. I immediately appreciated the whole "house of ill repute" decor, with the "disco" lights and all.
After I paid for one ticket for a short stay, the host proceeded to introduce the lineup. I told him there was no need since I instantly recognized the lineup from the pics on the site. For a change, in my long history of hobbying, the pics did match the reality, especially for Nahomi and Jenny, both juicy specimens.
I was hoping to land a visit with the legendary Wendy, but alas, she was absent, so I chose Christina, based on some positive reviews here. She did not disappoint.
She guided me to a room downstairs where the "Mamasan" was doing laundry right outside the sliding door, like it was just another regular day. Like I said, "Shangri-La" apparently exists, in the outskirts of Queens. Let's just hope that like that mythical place, it doesn't disappear anytime soon.
