Interesting article, but don't think Alpha is a concern too the
resturant owners, in fact they receive a lot of Hookers & John's
for customers. Been in resturants on Franklin many times and
have seen 6-10 hookers & Johns eating at one time.
If elections are coming, why hasn't the Alpha bust made the
newspapers, TV, etc.? Are the politicians in Hartford that stupid?
I doubt it.
I think that the poster who said "that's how they got Al Capone"
is pretty close to the truth.
BTW, need to add www to the link below to get the article to
come up.

Anyone hip to a place in Enfield that has providers? There's an Back-Room ad for a Holly in the Valley Advocate which services the Springfield/Northampton MA area. Call the number and the call back is a dude explaining about their place in Enfield w/ ladies. Decent price per hour, sounds intriguing but I've heard nada about anything in Enfield so I'm inquiring.

Spear The 3 houses on Main NE corner. Stay away from them or anyone out front. One is a shooting gallery. Being watched by LE.
Tue nite. 730pm After 2 min spotted Melissa on N side of Wyllis. She waved an told me to pick her up at 815 after she had supper.
There she was at 815 lookin good. One an a half hours later I was a happy guy.$20. She is good an enjoys it.
Looks like last MP in Hartford is closed for good. Alpha still shut. Im sure it has nothing to do with elections. Remember the place was supposed to be politicly connected. A certain bakery owner with lots of clout had a PC of the take. Some day we will find out the real story.
Trivia question. If Alpha is last MP in Hartford, what was the second to last adult establishment in hartford to close an where was it located last?
-
Monger
I don't think I know the answer to your trivia question, but it did spark a trip down memory lane for me and made think think of the old tokyo spa right in downtown. I used to work downtown and talk about lunchtime convenience!
-
Don't give up on Alpha or the Girls yet.
-
I know for a fact that people who work to close these places down have gotten a lot of information from these types of boards. Perhaps less detailed descriptions and more discretion is in order.

Monger...
Would that be Whispers on Webster street?
Also have you seen that sweet blonde again. I haven't been able to spot her since the day we both saw her last week.
-
Pogo good memory. Remember the one that was on the second of Asylum at corner of Trumbull. Early 80s. That was another lunchtime break.
Shake Whispers on Webster St wrong answer.
I have gone down to Maple an Shultus four times looking for her. No luck. Think it has to be perfect timing.

Answer:The Aristocrat on New Britain Ave.
-
The Aristocrat was my next guess. I bet thats it Chipper. As I recall both the Aristocrat and Whispers were both closed at the same time (approximately). Same LE sweep anyway.
Monger I saw Melissa on Monday in the rain in the location you stated. Would have picked up based on your recomendation but there was a whole lot of activity at the time. I will try again.
White SW referred to. Lets hope she comes back and we get a "taste". I'll let you know if I find anything.
Happy Hunting!
-
Chipper wrong answer. Aristocrate was an encountner room not MP to bypass the law. It was shut down same day as whispers.
Hint. This adult establishment operated at 3 different addresses in Hartford, not at the same time, before closing. Answer Fri.
Shake...You will enjoy Mellissa. Go somewhere where you are not rushed.BBBJTC. To confirm it is really her ask where she lived for 5 years before coming to Hartford 6 months ago. it was Willimantic.

Sorry I hadn't looked at the board earlier this afternoon, since I definitely remember that the answer was the Aristocrat. I patronized that place several times going back to 1983. There was an attractive black girl working there named Crystal in 1983/84 who was a real GFE. Then in the late 80s a distant cousin of mine started working there so I had to stay away. Last time I went there was in the early 90s when I walked in and one of the girls was a skinny PR girl with track marks everywhere who I knew (and knew to stay away from); she later died of AIDs. This place was a dump! You had to leave the room and go down the hall to a cheap shower. I remember that they put kitchen oven timers outside your door so the girl would know when your time was up.
Since we are going down Memory Lane, what was the name that the Whispers place was known by in the 1980s? This place was a bit better than the Aristocrat, since each room had its own shower. It had a sister place in East Hartford, Burnside Avenue in a shopping plaza not far from the Marco Polo Restaurant.
I went to the East Hartford place once and remember that the girl was pissed that I only wanted BJ and not FS - she was pissed because she would get less money. Gave me a bizarre lecture about how she was a high-class girl who had high standards and that her time was money, and that I had insulted her and not shown her respect by not wanting to pay her the maximum tip possible. Very strange to hear such a lecture from a girl working in such a dump (who had a horrid c-section scar as well, and wasn't all that cute). The place closed down shortly thereafter.
Tokyo on High Street was the first AMP in the Hartford area. It opened in late summer or early fall of 1989 and had a five-year lease; it was closed down by the landlord as soon as the five years were up in 1994. Too bad - still one of my favorite AMPs. They had a side door in the alley for those people who didn't want to be seen entering by the front door, and they always made me leave through that side door at the end of each session.
I remember the MP on the first block of Asylum, upstairs in a building that has since been torn down to become a parking lot. Only patronized there once, I think 1986.
There was a MP on Franklin Avenue right in the middle of the restaurant district (a couple blocks north of Omar Coffee), located on the second floor over a bar. Very obvious to walk in and out, plus the neighbors were pissed, so this place didn't last long.
Back in the 1980s there was Marty's Adult World (corner of Washington and Park, now a Chinese restaurant), which featured two grandmas as masseuses during the day (I'm not kidding) with some younger cuties in the evening. The place also sold adult magazines and had four small booths where one could watch an adult video. In the early 1980s, if a guy was too poor or too cheap to pay for a full massage session in the back, he could go into one of the video booths, and for a $5 house fee, one of the girls would crowd into the booth with the guy, sit on a stool and give him a quick BJ for an additional $20 tip. This was one of my favorite choices, as it was quicker, easier and safer than picking up a SW for only a few bucks more.
Next to Marty's (in the same building) was a strip bar (Trios?), and a slightly more upscale MP behind - can't remember the name.
Any other places that I forgot?
-
Dear Monger22:
Thanks for the heads-up about the three buildings on Main on the corner with Wyllys. I was planning to check that place out again later this week, but thanks to your tip, I won't bother. This is what WSG is all about - helping each other out!
-
Spear..Aristocrate is wrong answer. see my hints today.
Martys also operated a MP on corner of Farmington Ave an South Marshall St. First floor of a house on Farmington. Four massage rooms.
Trios was the name of strip club on Washington.
