Economics of Venom cabanas vs. Raiders Champaign Room
Economics of Venom cabanas vs. Raiders Champaign Room.
Admission fee to the cabanas at Venom is $30 (with the dancer paying an additional $10 after the cabana time is finished). Admission fee to the Champaign Room at Raiders is $0 (the dancer pays a small fee to the bouncer afterwards).
Back when the Venom fee was reasonablesay up to $20, I'd take a chance by taking a dancer to the cabana even if I wasn't sure I'd be getting interesting and fulfilling entertainment. The fee was low enough that I'd try out new talent at a reasonable overhead. I'd find dancers whose talents and skills were previously unknown to me. It was like an audition with many becoming regular providers. That's not the case anymore. With the cabana fee at $30, I pretty much have to know in advance if I'm going to get a GFE / FS experience before I go in. This has consequences to the club, the dancer, and me.
The club has priced itself to the point that fewer customers go to the cabana. High cabana fees are a result of the greed of the club management. These results are less revenue for the club. The dancers are affected because they make less money since customers aren't taking as many trips to the cabanas. This affects me because I have to factor in the overhead to whatever I'm going to give the dancer for her time and services. That didn't use to be the case.
At Raiders, the customer and dancer walk into the Champaign Room, do whatever business they are doing, and walk out. There is no management-imposed impediment to the customer for enjoying himself. Additionally, in recent months, the talent pool has improved at Raiders. The club used to be known as the club dancers go to die. It was the banishment club that Curves management sent dancers when they messed up or Curves didn't want to hire.
In a free-market economy, deciding where to spend time and money is becoming clearer. At Raiders I can play around discovering the talents and skills of many dancers without punitive club fees for Champagne Room entrance. At Venom, I pretty much have to know a dancer and also know she's going to make me happy before I enjoy her company in the cabana. There's no more experimenting to discover fresh dancers or new skills.
Is it any wonder that dancers and others are bemoaning the lack of customers at Venom? Dancers complain about not making any money any more. It seems their money-making ability has been deterred. It was once said by the owner that the reason the cabanas were built in the first place was "for the dancers to make real money. " The dancers aren't making didley squat (like they used to) if cabana fees are keeping the customers from enjoying the cabanas more often.
When two clubs are offering different prices for the "same" thing, the customers are going to take the lower price option. (And it is virtually the "same" thingI've had threesomes in the Champaign Room and in the cabanas.) Predatory pricing at Venom will be its ultimate downfall.
And that's why the talent will shift too
This. By increasing their prices to compensate for a dwindling customer base they are killing it off quicker. Therefore dancers are going to leave, meaning more customers are going to leave too. Its a vicious cycle.
