I tipped that much in some of the places mentioned as late as last year. When and how did this 1.4 stuff start in select places?

I get great service, beyond what one usually expects on the menu, for 1.0, so I don't go to the 1.4 places these days--why should I when I get great service for a good deal less? But I do prefer ladies in their 30's and even early 40's if they've taken good care of themselves--I find those in their 20's generally to be a bit callow (as one would expect) and often a bit full of themselves, not to mention less patient and less willing to do some extras that I enjoy.

The short version of what I was trying to say below is that I'm figuring in a number of factors in addition to price, performance, and hotness. Convenience, consistency, need for advance planning, total time commitment, risk of exposure, etc.
