Prosecutors said she also encouraged the teen to go to parties where men would pay for sex with multiple women.

In her lawsuit, the girl claims that backpage.com, a website similar to Craigslist that is owned by Village Voice Media, knew prostitution was being facilitated on the site but did nothing to stop it. She contends items advertising sex with her were posted on the site.

The girl's attorney, Robert Pedroli, said other lawsuits over online sex ads have failed because the Communications Decency Act says online content providers are not responsible for what others post. But he said this lawsuit takes a different approach, alleging that websites like backpage.com provide a "safe house" for pimps and customers to arrange child prostitution.

"We're alleging they absolutely know that prostitution is on the website, that minors are being posted on the website," Pedroli said.

Phoenix-based Village Voice Media did not immediately respond Friday to a request for comment.

Earlier this month, Craigslist shut down its adult services section under pressure from state attorneys general who were concerned that it was being used to promote prostitution.

The Rebecca Project for Human Rights was among the groups pressuring Craigslist to block adult services ads. Executive director Malika Saada Saar said Friday that the St. Louis girl's story is far too common.

"If these sites do not see their obligation to protecting children, there ought to be a legal approach," she said. "When we have children being sold online for sex at legitimate websites, this is a human rights issue."

There are many motels on 192 in West Kissimmee from JYP on west that advertise single room rates for $25-$29. I've used some of these before. No one in particular to recommend though. They've always been clean. None of them seem to offer hourly rates (I've asked) but I've found those overnight rates to be better than a couple hours at the few dumpy hourly places in and around Orlando. After taxes they are like $30 - $35 and they make you put the room on a credit card to start, but I tell them that I'll be paying cash and they don't care if you check out a few hours later and pay cash.

If you don't mind charging your room on a credit card, you can usually get some pretty good deals on decent places on I-drive through the internet discounters like hotwire. No hourly rates and often check in has to be after 3:00pm so morning or mid-day activities can be hard to plan. I've gotten nice $30 rooms on IDrive before. I've had some reject me though because they don't take locals. I think they've experience too many locals renting rooms for wild parties and illicit purposes.

I have a brother who works in immunology, and was actually working towards a cure fo AIDS for a while. According to him, HIV is fairly difficult to get - it's a "weak" virus in that it doesn't survive long in any environment that's not inside the human body. Basically, he said that in order to guarantee it, you'd have to have an open wound and actively rub the virus into your wound. So, it's effective as an STD because sex involves lots of rubbing and bodily openings.

My guess (and this is ONLY a guess) is that if it was for a couple of seconds, you're probably safe in assuming you didn't contract HIV. However, there are other STDs which are much easier to contract, and those are the ones I'd be more worried about at this point.

The only way to truly set your mind at ease, of course, is to get tested. If you're willing to shell out the cash for an escort visit, you shouldn't have too much trouble shelling out for an STD test - just skip an appointment and put your concerns to rest.

For anyone who may misinterpret my comments above - I'm not condoning unprotected sex by any means whatsoever - in this scene, safety should always be your number one concern.

About ten years ago, I had the same scenario as Navyvet. I too, wanted to get myself checked out to make sure. I didn't have insurance at the time.

I ended up going to the Orange Co Health Dept. It only cost me $20 to get checked for HIV. I came up clean thankfully.

The woman there gave me a little talk about HIV. She claimed that unprotected intercourse is a minimal risk for the man to get HIV. However, going Greek is a whole different story.

Just thought I would register my appreciation for all aspects of the forum. I visit Kissimmee each year for a six week vacation with my family (I'm a single parent) and look for action on BP (previosuly on CL). Generally I've been well treated by providers although there have been a few rip-offs. I suppose I've used 20 different providers over the years and only been let down 3 times.

If you drive by and can get eye contact with them, they will let you know if they're working.
