Lunch time seem to be safer bet with less LEO present on W ave. There are still fresh new faces to be found if you look hard enough. I was driving by last week (for other errand. Not looking) and noticed a tall black lady at the bus stop. When I was returning after 10 minutes she was still there and I knew at least one bus had stopped there since she was the only one left. I slowed down and gave a look but either she didn't respond or I didn't see. But as I looked in the rearview mirror she was waving dicretely. I turned around and was rewarded. She was wearing a long flowery dress and did not look like a SW at all. But her skills indicated otherwise and no haggle on price even I took longer than usual. In SW scale I would rate her looks and skills at 8.

Lenths down a side street. I kept going passed the original leo with his prey 3 blocks down. Before I got to brown and head out of town.

I saw nother one doing the same on the right side. I used to do a sweetie on Roosevelt, I was felling really stupid, so I thought I'd.

Do a circle to Franklin and come down roosevelt as it is a one way to Wiethesfield, as I passed Roosevelt I looked up to see she.

Was lurking there was another Leo, needless to say I became unstupid and left.[/QUOTE]Appreciate the effort in the report, but damn, it's a tough read when there's periods where there shouldn't be, and none where there should be. Jackson usually is good in spotting bad grammar / punctuation use, somehow this got by.

Also, don't think that LE doesn't notice you driving back and forth, no matter how slick you think you're being. I happened to be on Wethersfield on Saturday on unrelated business and I was shocked at how ridiculous some people are when trying to pick up a streetwalker. I had to avoid several people literally stopping in the middle of the road trying to do the pickup. And then these same people cry when they're pulled over and / or arrested. Use the big brain people, use discretion. Passing the same cop multiple times is not the smartest thing to do.

It has been crazy out there the last week or so from what I've seen and heard. A real feeding frenzy, but it is that time of year. Now is a good time to befriend a part time lady that is in need of a little ligetimate help. (school, bills, etc) Keeps both of you off the streets.

What civilians, the drug dealers hanging out in 150-180 block of Wethersfield Ave by the rooming houses? What a joke, it's just a way to boost the numbers for the new Chief to make it seem like they're actually making the streets safer, instead of the vice unit going after the real criminals that are running the streets that are packing assault weapons.

With those seven guys off the street, I'll be sure to take a walk down Wethersfield Ave tonight with the family! Anyone want to place odds on whether we get robbed, mugged, or beaten?

Went up and down Albany, Grove, Weath. Ave yesterday morning and afternoon. Saw a couple, but all the construction on Weath. Ave seems to have pushed the ladies back. A couple older ones were out, but I was looking for something worthwhile. Left disappointed but with my junk still intact.

Thats just not the type of crime in that section of town, in my opinion.

Now...If it was the old Stowe village...I can point you to two or three HPD officers who have been mugged in the old courts there back in the days.

But I digress...consider it, Darwinism. Prostituition is easy to target for HPD in that section of town. If you are going to engage in street action, you should learn the damned streets and street names. Recognize usual faces. Cause when a face shows up that is unusual, you will know, or you will know who on the street to ask.

Which is why I no longer partake. I have a trained eye from all these years and am very street savvy, but no longer knowing the usual faces or having the contacts leaves me to let others partake in the street scene. Been there, done that, and for the most part, survived unscathed minus a few missing items.

As far as your bet goes, I'd have to disagree and take you up on that 10 to one. Picture it this way, you see a white middle class family, obviously out of place from the burbs, walking down Wethersfield at 11pm between Wyllis and Brown, I'd put it at 70/30 that at some point during that stroll a hood rat or two approach and see what they can get. It's definitely not as bad as the old Dutch Point / Stowe / Nelton Court days, but I still wouldn't like my odds.

Anyway, the main point for all the newbies is, be aware of your surroundings, and be safe, the streets are more dangerous than you realize.

I have never seen leo at work, but my assumption is that she will A: be white B: not be strung out C: look relatively good. All three of those things seem to be scarce on the street scene. Also, as long as I just say,"hey, need a ride?" and don't discuss money until she is in the car and we are driving away, won't that prevent most entrapment?

Such a family would probably be seen as either:

1. Jehovah witnesses.
2. Mormons woefully lost,
3. A sting...
4. target.

Thats a 1 in 4 chance. Good odds for the risk. Although, if you went walking down that street, I think you'd hear "He's baaack!"

I say this only because gang activity in upper wethersfield is low these days compared to just a few short years ago. The most active gangs have moved to the burbs and giving the burbs headaches. (Manchester, meriden, etc.) They are still in Hartford, but they are on to bigger things and less to prove, turf wise.

Its not a defense you will ever use, or want to use. Its better to steer away from any scenarios where you have to even consider such a thing.

The white woman walking down Weth who is decent, clean, and dressed like a hooker is mythical. There are a quite a few white women who work the area there, and some are in fact "clean" and, sometimes, a great find! Yet none of them will dress the part. If anyone is dressed the part, they are probably a TS.

I survived the scene by watching first and foremost. Observe. If she's there once, she will be there again. Let the big head do the driving at all times. Let the big head handle the risk calcs.

Couple weeks back I talked about LE presence on W from 33 to the high school. Its a different area than it once was. Thats why alot of the girls have moved to 300 to550 W. What was Dutch Point is now 1 an 2 family homes an new apartments. The horseshoe factory long abandoned is now being converted to homes an apartments. These people have a stake now in the neighborhood. Two organazations HART an Sheldon Oak are now very active an HARTs president is very politically conected. From Congress St to the Church on Wyliss are homeowners. They do call LE an put pressure on city. Don't knock the neighbors unless you really know whats going on. They are pushing everything south so be safe guys an move south with the ladies. Last three weeks I picked up 2. No problem. 1 good 1 bad but thats the game. I also do not believe Stowe Village ever had a SW presence. Maybe you meant Dutch.
