Last night it was pig city.
Was on the way to fuel up the ride at my usual spot. At the pump was this cool custom Cadillac Fleetwood. Fully restored getting fueled up himself (more on this dude later). Hit up the stroll and quickly saw the pigs in the yellow vests walking up and down the strip. They also had one or two cars pulled over by the usual strip club hot spots. I did two passes before deciding it was too hot for a pickup. I decided to give a few of my old Asian girls a call and one picked up who was working a spot in EHT. I hopped on the ACE and got to my exit in about 20 minutes. The exit was locked off by the state pigs who were conducting a sobriety checkpoint.
The policeman comes to my car and I hand over all my papers to him. He tries to make small talk."where are you coming from. Where are you going". I politely told him that I don't answer any questions and I have no comment at this time. I guess that pissed him off cause he tells me to pull over to the side where I noticed the dude in the Cadillac was there. We started talking and he was telling me that the cop was harassing him over "Bright Headlights" on his car. We started talking about shit back in the day and was laughing at a few things when the policeman came back and asked us if we thought this situation is funny and what we were laughing at. Getting annoyed at this fucker now for already making me late to a booty call. I said no, we were just talking about things back in the day while we were waiting for you to write your tickets. So I ended up getting one for my rearview mirror which I had my work I'd hanging on. I think obstruction of view is the proper name. The dude in the Cadillac got three for his lights and a non working license plate light.
Oh well.
Got to my spot and the girl was already gone and the place was closed. I was stuck at the checkpoint for almost 40 min so I understand that. Decided to head back to AC to see if it was cooled down. "where are you coming from" oh I met a few guys from the elks / masons / basketball / softball team, etc for a meeting regarding donations for Hurricane Harvey or similar. I know you live in a police state, but courtesy goes a long way. The small talk was to see if you were drinking or on drugs, being belligerent got you a ticket.
I am not big fan of Law Enforcement, but the least amount of involvement or interaction with them is best for me. I know there are plenty of bad ones but there are also lots of good ones. Like all professions!

I personally don't like to answer questions because in the past they try to use my answers to trip me up about something. If I remain silent, then they will have to prove why they pull me over. Also, if a cop wants to give you a ticket. He will give you a ticket. If he wants to let you go. He won't even pull you over to begin with. Usually a primary infraction (non lit tailight, failure to signal, etc) the officer will pull you over in the hopes of getting something more or bigger on you. Like driving without a license or drugs etc. That's the way I look at it and again I could be wrong but most of the time that's all the popo is doing.
Also, when I respond to a cop I am not a dick at all and very polite. To the terms of. "Officer, I will be exercising my right to remain silent during this traffic stop. Thank you". Usually at that point, they will write the ticket and I'll be on my way. Getting a ticket doesn't bother me because I have an attorney that takes care of them for me. Granted, I don't do stupid shit like speeding or reckless driving or cellphone usage while driving. So usually a few of these bullshit tickets that the officer issues will be pleaded down to $50 plus $50 surcharge. At the end of the day, the county just wants the $$$ bro. You know that.
