If you were north of 6 mile you were in Detroit. I also doubt you want to plead guilty without talking to a lawyer first as there may be repercussions you are not aware of for doing so. There may be a plea deal available as well.

If you need my guy's name, let me know. Pre-trial is where your lawyer will do a plea deal and fight to keep your fine in the $400-$600 range. Yes, this is just a money grab and a misdemeanor, but it is very painful just the same so have a large shot of Novocaine handy before entering the court room. Good luck.

There is a one mile buffer (jurisdiction) for LE to cruise into and can make arrests with in said distance. Any cities LE bordering 8 mile can come up to a mile inside Detroit and DP can go into the suburbs one mile. I've seen Hazel Park police on many occasions cruise the blocks east of John are and south almost to Lantz and have witnessed them making arrests south of 8. I've also seen DP follow a couple individual's out the hood and pull them over.

I know I have personally told you not to put Pontiac info not in the Detroit thread about six times, plus my other brothers that have mentioned the same thing. As anyone who has ever witnessed cops blatantly lie and perjury themselves in a court of law.

Most of the time it is about reading peoples their rights when they haven't. But I would not put it past some to be okay with extending beyond shared border jurisdiction. After all possession of a criminal is about nine tenths of the law and if you get one that cannot afford proper representation.

Perhaps you are right about not paying attention to detail, since I meant to post this in the SW forum. But I guess it was meant to be HERE if for no other reason than to say this:

First off, no-one "tells" me what to do. I have respect for this site and it's members and would not continue to do something to offend anyone. The truth is, every time there has been a complaint about Pontiac info on the Detroit thread (and I'm sure it's less than you claim), I've received PMs from different members saying to ignore you and thanking me for the info. So I have continued to share for the benefit of those who are obliged.

I don't know what your issue is with Pontiac. I see posts about other strolls around the Metro area often and have never seen anyone ***** about it. The SW thread has only a few posts per day added if not every other day or less. I don't see where an occasional post clutters up the thread.

I thought we were all here to help eachother out and to share our experiences in the hobby.

I'm not a newbie, and my unfortunate incident with HP happened in 2015 (before I became a member here I might ad). I'm not the first person here this has happened to, but this is one of the reasons we are all here, right? To hopefully learn and share. "Shared juresdiction". I'll keep that in my handy dandy notebook. Thanks.

And thanks to all who commented on the original post. Your comments were lost to me until recently, since I rarely visit this thread, but your help and advise is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Since a "not guilty" plea was entered due to my testimony of being in Detroit and not HP, a bargain was offered. "Disorderly Conduct" with fines well below the $400-$600 earlier mentioned, $80 health class and expungement upon completion. Thank you, thank you.
