Those guys was arrested in a sting a Columbia police sergeant was on the news and said so on WISTv. Those men who got arrested recieved more than blue ticket they got a criminal record and there face on the local news.

I just read through the discussion again and looked up the applicable code section about citations. I have a hard time understanding how such a charge could ever be successfully prosecuted under the given circumstances, but I suppose the point is merely to harass people and the validity of the charge is secondary to that. Fucked up, that is.

My advice still stands. Keep your mouth shut if questioned by law enforcement. Always.
