I have had similar issues primarily when using a burner app. Messages don't go through, so I have to send them multiple times to get responses. Googled the phone number displayed on the door at new Columbia spa. Number came back as Sunshine Spa. Saw one guy enter. Hopefully this business is going to be a good one and successful. Drawback is too open area in shopping center parking lot, too easy to be seen entering for local patrons.

Decided to check out the new places in Columbia on STG. Stopped by 1st location and they were closed at 11 am and nobody answered the phone at the number listed. However, general consensus is to not deal with deposits. I also know that there are several non-scammy ones that do require deposits, so if you MUST deal with a deposit, then you at least need to cross reference the listing with posts here or elsewhere from real reviewers. If the listing includes like 5 different apps to reach them, also highly likely a scam.
