If you walked past a restaurant, or saw their website online, would you go in and order the most expensive item on the menu without having some kind of trusted review or word of mouth intel beforehand? Without that, no matter how nice everything looks, there's simply no way to know in advance how good the food will be. So the common sense approach, IMHO, would be to try something on the menu that isn't prohibitively expensive to see if you're getting good value for the $. Dropping 400-500 (+200 on the upsell) on a completely unreviewed provider is a roll of the dice with a high probability for disappointment or even a total scam, as you discovered.

A couple of other red flags come up with the fact that doing a Google search on her phone number and email address turns up nothing useful. IME, if she's a legit provider who's been around for a while you should at least get a hit on another ad site or a different city. But searching on Jillian's info just dumps you into a black hole. Another difficulty in doing proper homework is that Eros disables the right clicking that enables image search (using the Chrome browser). I know there are ways of getting around that but it's probably too much hassle for the average user.

So, in doing the math, high prices + no reviews + nothing from phone & email search = think with the big head and take a pass. There are too many well-reviewed providers out there, even on Eros, for there to be any need to roll the dice on scammers like Jillian May.
