Rants and Stupid shit in Dayton

There was another up Main St. , near what used to be Barnsider, pretty close to the old Crab Shack (that may not be the right name, but it's still there under another name). I got the tour there once and did spend some time that day, but never joined. I'm sure there were others around the area too. I remember one near New Carlisle, Park Layne area.

There were a couple in Columbus too. Those were the days!

Club 101 was our favorite. We became members there shortly after it opened in an old VFW post. They built a new hall for the vets up the street. We were also members at Dayton Swim Club and Temptations.

The clubs tend to have cliques. If you fit in you have a good time. Most couples are looking for other couples, not single men. My girl wouldn't give a single guy the time of day.

AKA Big Balls, Inc. The owner there with the mullet. He and brother are 2nd generation oil company owners. Dad built a successful company and left it to the boys upon death. One of the many things this guy did was open / operate Dayton Swim Club. He is not from Dayton. They are from Spfld. I run into him a few times a year sometimes more. I see him at bars and places to eat. I just saw him at O'Charlies with 2 young blondes a while back. It was lunch and they were drinking at the bar.

There was a shooting, a man stand off on the roof at Dayton Motor Motel on Dixie, locked down the area completely. There was an arrest for a gun point burglary made at Travelers' Motel just up north from it.

It used to be those desperate crimes happened a lot in Dayton in holiday seasons. Now it's year round thing.

It is happening in small, medium and big towns and cities all across America! Makes me wonder if there is a cure for the stupid crap in our society other then a mass population correction of some sort. (disclaimer: I am not suggesting that someone or entity should turn into a serial killer).

I never thought that I would see what is happening with our Government and society in my life time.
