I think it's important to look at the science here. The average annual influenza kills 1/1000 and chances are in a given year you will not personally know anyone who dies from it. Covid -19 kills between 10-25/1000 and yes most are elderly. However, you will probably personally know someone who dies from this. Unless you live alone and have no friends.
