However, it took a *lot* more work than it did just a few years ago.

Seeking has always attracted a certain number of scammers, GPS girls, and delusional ladies who think that there are legions of men just waiting to send them online money. The difference is that in the past, there were also many attractive young women who were willing to hook up for a reasonable amount.

So you could ignore the scammers and the fakes, because they were a small percentage of the total. Now the scammers and the fakes comprise roughly half of the profiles on the site. And most of the real women on Seeking are older ladies who have been on the site for years, like the recently discussed Amor_fati.

I think the COVID economy has exacerbated the situation. It's extremely expensive to hire anyone to do anything right now, and there is no reason why this should be any different. Look at the selection of escorts on Tryst: It's all old and overweight women asking for fees that used to be reserved for the young hotties.

And speaking of "hotties": As is always the case, the more refined your tastes, the harder it is to find what you want. I don't want them over 30 (with very few exceptions), overweight, or rough-looking. So I have not been spending much money on escorts and SBs of late.

Now, the good news: I've been hobbying, off and on, since the 1990's. Prices, quality, and abundance have always been cyclical. The early 2000's absolutely sucked. But then in 2009, things took off, with new escorts and the whole sugar baby scene.

Fast food restaurants are still paying $500 signing bonuses. Until the labor market returns to normal, I don't see a return to the days when there were scores of hot-looking 20-something women available for $300.

As for me: I will monitor the situation, but I am not going to spend the money until market conditions improve, I. E. , until prices go down and the quality and selection improve.

I met her for lunch. She seemed eager to meet but asked for some help at the MnG. I offered her 40 for gas / babysitter which she happily accepted. (I agree; that was a mistake. I almost never give anything.) I had offered an allowance that worked out to 300 per week. She avoided accepting or rejecting. In person she is a bit thick and frumpy. The blue jeans picture is the most accurate but maybe add a few more pounds. Cute face but not much more to go for. I ghosted her until she approached me again on seeking with the long GPS message. When I pointed out that we had already met, she was like "Oh yeah, you're the cheapskate that wanted me to sleep with him for 300/ week. I am worth a LOT more than that. " I would never meet her again but I am pretty sure I offered too much. So, basically, she is a self-confessed GPS hooker. Oh, and she cannot host.

I am pretty sure I chatted with her earlier but she disappeared until about five months ago. I made a second pass and she engaged. I got all the way to a 250-300/ week offer depending on who hosted. She accepted and asked me to meet then ghosted again. She just popped again a few weeks ago but has not responded to my follow-up. The pictures look a bit TGTBT (tho not a fan of the bee-sting lips) but has exhibited no other scammer behaviors to me. I never got a number which is usually my best tell.
