It's set up a encrypted tunnel and gives you their IP address on the Internet. Not your homes or office. I had my security guys run a ton of tools and its invisible to them, unless someone is blocking VPN through port 80 through the firewall it's going to go through too. Word of warning, I'm assuming within the tunnel the vpn provider can or could if they cared to sniff what I'm doing so I don't have any personal info or banking info on my device.

Also using TrueCrypt for your sensitive files should protect your info on a thumb drive.

Great questions, Max. I've always been curious, too. Never joined one of those services for because of those concerns. BTW, from what I understand, P411 is located in Canada.

No work info was requested.
