Employment opportunities in our area are being carefully scrutinized. If you are privileged to the Black Wednesdays outcome, you'll understand my point.

Overall, in terms of working atmosphere, DC is much better than NY. In terms of money, DC is, on average, is a little higher than NY. Culturally, DC is on a completely different level.

Why? Ownerships and working ladies in NY are slowly changing from Korean to Chinese and caters to higher proportion of Chinese clients. A number of our mutual friends tested out the NY scene, and all could not last the first week. In fact, two of them left the after the second day.

This issue requires much more thought than your generalization. Oh, and there's some resentments between Korean and Chinese ladies.

I had a great dream yesterday, went to Supra for the first time. Thanks for all the good info on the board to all you folks. Asked for lineup from Mamsan and she was happy to oblige, three dreams walked out - I would give all three over 7 on the normal scale. I decided on Tara, 5-0,105, B's - best of the crop but I would have been happy with any of them, just happened to be her turn anyway.

Many will marry a guy to stay here. However they DO want to be able to travel back and forth to Korea. Family is important to most of the girls I know. They can only renew their visas so many times. Once that option runs out, they can go home but cannot return here legally. Marriage to an American and the possibility of getting a GC is a way to legally travel to and from.

It happens all over. In my town we have 5 Korean MPs, and 3 of them try hard to upsell beyond what we think of as the standard rate. I just don't go to those places more than once a year or so, and I only do that to keep my intelligence up to date. One of the remaining two places here is a little farther out of town, but has the best talent and they never ask for more than I am used to giving.

Never discussed money at all.

About 2 months ago I had an encounter where the girl was disappointed at the standard tip but she refused nothing.

Junky is right: I have known many, many providers all up and down the scale who are playing for the money, and they know how to act the part. Some actually enjoy the sex, although most will tell they don't like it nearly as much as some of us do. Some need to pay off a debt, or get together cash for college, a car or something extravagant for themselves. Some realize they can make so much more entertaining us than they ever could in most other jobs for which they might not be educated or trained.
But I do think some of those women in the Korean AMPs are trapped there. And as I think back, I wonder how many of the ones I have met might fit that description.

These ladies will continue to live this life. Why? A large portion of them are not trained for anything else. This is vocational training at its best. Although I did meet one lady who was a teacher back in the mother land, other than that, the variation is very limited.

I know two former ladies who married and decided to give up the life. One pursues a career in real estate and the other works in a rug and tug place. Rug and tug are considered non-sexual to these ladies. Go figure.

This brings up another point about the pursuing a relationship with these ladies. From my experience, if you consider having a relationship with them, their professional life will always be a crutch in the relationship. Regardless if they are working in or managing an AMP, they will always be involved in this life. Be sure you are OK with taking part in it. For example, reading about how your wife services others on this board and the insane things that these people write about. If you are unaffected by such fictional accounts, then by all means, marry them all.

The chances of them leaving this life is slim to none. However, if your monthly income ranges from 20-40 thousand a month, then you may have some leverage in the negotiation.

If you know anything about the AMP industry at all, you know that these women move around a great deal. Some of them have traveled all over the U.S.. Very few of them stay in any one AMP for very long. There are many reasons for this. The most important ones have to do with economics.

But it is simply accurate to say that they are trapped in an AMP. It is my belief (and this is not just conjecture) that if they chose to, they could work in any industry in which they could find a job. For instance they could work as waitresses, in nail salons, etc. The reason that they do not is because there is no other industry in which they have the ability to make the same level of income as they do in AMPs.

As has been pointed out, they choose to work in the AMP industry for a lot of different reasons. Some do it out of greed, some to try to fulfill personal ambitions, others to care for children or other family members, and some to pay off gambling debts.

Therefore it is most accurate to say that some of these gals, if not most of them, are trapped rather in the industry than in some particular AMP. I do believe that many of the AMP workers are "trafficked women." But I don't believe they are slaves as such. No one holds a gun to their heads. Although in some cases they may fear for the safety of family members held back in other countries such as China. The AMP workers are not shackled to the massage tables at night.

Please don't propagate the inaccurate idea that these women are sex slaves. That can do nothing but harm to the industry, the women, and ultimately also to the customers (you and me).

I have finally "bit the bullet" and joined this fine forum, though I admit to lurking for a year or so. I have been a Monger in this area for more than 20 years, but have never shared exploits before. Used to be a regular at DT and then I-Bar, after the DT disaster. Had many good friends at DT, Annie being my favorite. Sure wish I could find her again! A long time ago, and I doubt that too many of you remember it, there was a nice place at Friendship Heights, across Wisconsin Avenue from the old Sears store. I was in here the last day of its existence. Caught, as a matter of fact. It was ice, because was more flaverfull than just K-MP.

Visited CircleK today and, almost as usual, Mamasan informed me "? . Not here; All new. " Requested small uppers, but they were busy and, after a short sauna, got Coco. New to me. Said she came here last week. Korean and Hawaiian. Nice mix. Good language skills, both spoken and provided. Very tan, large B, small C, and super friendly, In fact, called herself "crazy. ". Something to be said for that!
